NPR: What was the best bridal shower gift you got?
Going to a shower saturday and registry is all done! I am stressing...it's a good friend. I would like to spend about $100

For me, the best gifts are the ones that I use on a daily basis. So my knife set and my pots and pans that we registered for.
ETA: Also, if you do get a gift off the registry (or not off the registry) and not a gift card, just make sure to include a gift receipt. If your friend changes their mind, it makes life a lot easier if they want to return or exchange it.

Half of my gifts are still packed away and i've been married 8 years LOL!
I think something for her since her registery is done she has a bunch of stuff for the house. I would get her a Spa gift certificate and maybe some spa related items for the home, slippers, bath pillow, bath salts.
I gave my Step mom in law a spa gift for her shower she loved it. Granted she is well over the average age fora bride.

I like the spa idea or if you know where her honeymoon is, you can buy her a gift card for an excursion, I did that for a friend and she loved it!

I have made honeymoon "baskets" before and they were a hit.... fill a beach bag with thick beach towels, sunscreen, books, flip flops, etc... you can even add a gc to get their photos processed and a photo album.

I agree with the Honeymoon basket idea.
I also loved my coffee pot (at the time though) Now I realize that it was a piece of crappola.

along the lines of the honeymoon basket..you can get a gc to places where they are honeymooning...ie places for dinner/spa.activities

The thing I use most often is a pancake griddle from my aunt, she made a really cute gift set put of it with pankcake mix, a pretty bottle of NY maple syrup and a flipper. We use it every Sunday 
The thing I thought was the coolest was a really unique set of salad tongs my friend gave me, they have granite handles and just have a really nice weight to them - I love using them and think of her everytime I pull them out
