NT scan question
i feel like an idiot b/c i totally should have asked my OB this question yesterday at my apt, but it was just a little overwhelming b/c he was talking to me about all the genetic testing and asking me my family/personal history
i have the opportunity to get the NT scan done...DH and i had already discussed that we are not getting an amnio done - but i had no idea this less invasive test was an option
so my question is - is there any risk invovled with the NT scan? i wouldnt think so since its just an extra sono & blood work...but i just started freaking out that i didnt ask all the questions i wanted to and what if there was a risk
i read about it in one of my books & it didnt say anything about a risk but i figured i'd post here too

Re: NT scan question
no risk....it's a quick sono and finger prick for blood work.
You may have heard it also called an Ultrascreen

Re: NT scan question
I'm not quit sure what your asking BUT the NT scan is just checking fluid in the spine to make sure your baby is developing properly. There is no risk invovled in that. Hope the link helps!

Re: NT scan question
No risk...just a quick sono, measurements of baby taken and blood.
