Re: Number of Homes For Sale + Decrease Market= Changing Neighborhoods

Wanting to live in the nicest, safest, and most well kept neighborhood does not make anyone shallow, or a racist .......it's makes them human -

Come on people, this thread is just so silly ..........for those of you yapping on about how 'insulted' you are........do you bust your a$$ at work every day to live in an area where your kids can't go outside to play? Where you can't walk down the block? Where the home that you work so hard for is woth nothing b/c the area around you is completely undesirable to potential buyers??
Don't most people WANT the absolute best they can manage to give themselves and their families? What's so wrong with that? Many of the people living in those god awful areas are working 4 jobs so they too, can move their families OUT !! - And others are just the scum of the earth, making it an awful place to live -

Doesn't EVERYONE want to buy their home is the nicest possible area they can afford ?? For some it's $3.5 million, for others is $800k for others it's $150k ........it doesn't make anyone shallow, or racist. -

I love my house, I'm proud of it, DH and I work hard to improve and maintain it but if I could realistically afford to live ANYWHERE I wanted to, If I could have any home I wanted in area I wanted to........I wouldn't be in my Massapequa house on a plot of land that's 80x100 putting in new windows and finish the basement and remodeling 60 year old bathrooms!! - I'd be on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, with a summer house in East Hampton and a winter house in the Berkshires !! -

Oy

Ron, I think she just got a little upset.

that certainly was not my intention and I didn't feel abused or threatened...

Ophelia, we know that was not your intention at all since you did not ask for her to be removed. We will under no circumstances allow a LIF user to speak to another user that way. This site is about helping each other not being verbally abusive.
