Numbness and tingling???
For the past week I have been having numbness and tingling in my hands. It mostly happens at night when I try to sleep. It is so bad it wakes me up when I am sleeping. Do any of you have this?

Re: Numbness and tingling???
I get tingling in my thighs. My right one only actually. I have to switch sides every 1/2 hour or so. My left foot gets numb if I sit to long. Im a joy really. It stinks but I just read it is very common side effect.

Re: Numbness and tingling???
I've had this for a while now, and always forget to ask the Dr. about it. It's usually my right hand, and not only is it when I sleep, at random times throughout the day.

Re: Numbness and tingling???
I had it in the early part of pregnancy, but luckily it went away. I thought it was the start of pregnancy carpal tunnel, but since it went away, I never raised it with the doc. It was really uncomfortable. It can't hurt to mention it to your doc, maybe he/she can do something or give you some tips to make you feel better.

Re: Numbness and tingling???
I get it mostly in my right hand, my hand falls completely asleep when I sleep on my right side. THe tips of a few fingers tingle during the day. I also have pain in my left wrist and have trouble gripping things.
My Dr. said both things are realted to PG induced carpal tunnel, the added fluid and swelling is causing compression. The cure is apparently to have the baby

Re: Numbness and tingling???
I have had this since my second trimester. Mine is constant, my finger tips are tingling as I type. I hope it goes away after giving birth. Anyway, my doctor said, it's pregnancy carpel tunnel. He suggested I wear wrist bands, but I never got them.
It's so Annoying!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Numbness and tingling???
I had this with my DS and it was pregnancy Carpal Tunnel wich if you have it before being pregnant then pregnancy Intensifies it... i had to wear braces to sleep that was the only way i could go to sleep... it was very uncomfortable... there is a massage ball that is supposed to help with carpal tunnel and i used that and it helped alittle bit... but untill you have the baby it will not go away...
I am starting to get it know with my DD but earlier this time with DS it was i think abou the last two months or month with this one i have it already and i am seven months

Re: Numbness and tingling???
OMG, this started for me last week (30 weeks). I have to rotate sides every 2 hrs and even then, it's terrible. I woke up last night about 2 times practically crying, the numbness won't go away until I physically get out of the bed!
I asked the dr last week, she said carpal tunnel is very common during pg due to the slightest swelling in the wrists. I know it's due to that, b/c my one ring that fit loosely is now not fitting, so even though my wrists/hands don't look swollen, they must be. The dr told me it of course should go away a while after the baby is born.
It is terribly painful/uncomfortable.
