Numbness around c/s scar?
My scar is 10 weeks old and doesn't bother me. I don't usually touch it, but happened to be feeling around in the shower to see how it was heeling. I noticed that I'm totally numb for about .5-1 inch under it on the left side. I could prick myself with a pin there and not feel it. Anybody else experience this either temporarily or permanently?

Yes, it does eventually become less numb.

ive had a csection, i asked my obgyn this very question at my 6 week appt. she said the feeling may come back or it may NEVER come back. well my dd is almost 5 now and im still numb. i guess its going to be permanent. but 5 years later i dont even notice it anymore.

yes, mine was numb for a long time. I stopped checking it after awhile and it eventually went away. It was 3 years ago that I had the c/s!

Not the entire incision, but half of mine is numb. DD is 8 months now, so perhaps it will stay that way. It bothers me less and less though.

I noticed right away that mine is numb. I asked the Dr & sh said that is going to happen b/c nerve endings were cut during the surgery. Freaks me out!

Mine has been numb for years between each child it gets less numb because the nerves eventually grow back to where they were cut so hopefully there will be some feeling in the area.
