Nurse made me panic today
So I did my fetal monitoring and baby was fluctuating between 150-175 HR and shifting alot. SO the nurse looks at teh strip and says-She is very reactive but the heart is racing and walked out of the room with the strip. I was like WTH. SO before I can panic my doctor comes in and I explained the situation. He told me not to worry too much at this point as she (baby)has always had a high baseline-I am on meds and sugar from the TPN. All I know is that the nurses comment was irresponsible.

Well, let me just tell you that I would have said to the nurse WAIT what are u saying --you can't or SHOULDN'T just say those things and walk out ---now if she needed to get the DOC to tell you --then she shouldn't have said nothing at all...
