Nursery School Questions
Good morning! I have some nursery school questions I was hoping some mommys could answer.
1. Do your children go to nursery school at 2?
2. Is it just for a few hours? Or is it all day?
3. If they go to daycare or a sitters house, do they bring them and pick them up from pre-school?
4. Where do you send your children to pre-school?

1. Nursery school starts at 3 years old. Before that, its more considered "toddler care".
2. Nursery school is normally half day, but some schools have a full day program.
3. Does not apply to me, but I have seen lots of babysitters picking up and dropping off at school

Nursery is 3 years
Pre-Kindergarten is 4 years
Kindergarten 5 years

My DD started a preschool program at 2 years, 4 months. 2 days a week, 2.5 hours a day. It's a Spanish school.
She will start nursery in September. She'll be 3 yrs 3 months old. She'll go there 2 days, 2.5 hours a day as well.

1. DS goes to a "nursery" school program. He was 2 in August. It is called STAY & PLAY.
2. He goes M&W for 2.5 hours per day.
3.N/A
4. DS goes to a program run through the JCC.

1. We think we will send DD in September when she's 2 1/2.
2. At 2, the programs I have seen range from 1 1/2 hours to 6 1/2 hours and usually run twice a week.
3. N/A - my mom and MIL watch DD, but will take her and pick her up from preschool.
4. I've looked at 4 schools in my area so far - Wee Friends (Wantagh), Wind N Willow (N. Massapequa), Our Redeemer (Seaford) and Grace Day (Massapequa)

2. Is it just for a few hours? Or is it all day? Two days a week for 2.5 hours
3. If they go to daycare or a sitters house, do they bring them and pick them up from pre-school? Not applicable for me.
