DD is "graduating" from 2 yr old nursery this week. Wondering what kind of gift should I get for the teachers. She goes 1 day a week and has 2 teachers. BTDT and teachers pleas chime in.
TIA!!

Re: Nursery School Teacher Gifts
I think everyone always appreciates money. It may not be sentimental, but I think everyone likes cash.

Cash or gift card is best. My mom is drowning in pads/pen sets, keychains, teacher mugs, etc.

Re: Nursery School Teacher Gifts
When my DD was 2 and in preschool, I gave the teacher a $50 GC to Barnes & Noble and the two assistants each a $25 GC to B&N. (DD went 2 days a week.)
This year (3s preschool) I'm giving both the teacher and assistant $50 Visa or Amex GCs since I found them to be both equally involved. I wanted to do $100 each because my DD loves them and school so much, but I'm afraid of overdoing it. I may do flowers as well. (DD goes 3 days a week.)

Re: Nursery School Teacher Gifts
I got Eddies teachers, personalized stationery from Etsy, a scarf (to wear with an outfit, not a winter scarf) and a GC to Dunkin Donuts.

Re: Nursery School Teacher Gifts
The parents contributed money towards a gift card to Grillfire a restaurant in our area for each teacher. Some of the parents gave additional gifts...I did beach totes and beach towels for them.

Re: Nursery School Teacher Gifts
For Christmas and end of the school year we collect money from each parent if they choose and either get a gift card or give cash. I have done this the past 2 years and I think the teachers appreciate that instead of candles or what not.
If you receive a class list with the phone numbers, maybe make a call and see if parents would be interested in doing that. If not, then I would get a g/c to a store she likes (you can always ask the director) or give cash.
This year there are 13 kids in DS's class. 1 child didn't contribute and I collected $260, $20 per child. $160 went to the teacher and $100 went to the teachers assistant.
