Nursery Water?
My pediatrician told us to use nursery water for DS's bottles, but I've been reading that fluoride is not good for DS. Does anyone else use nursery water?

Tap water, boiled tap water, bottled water?
I think the nursery water has added flouride that they don't need that young

Re: Nursery Water?
This reminded me of a post I put on here when I used Nursery water, I can't remember exactly how many weeks old DD was, but she was less than 10 weeks old when I used it. According to the ladies on this site it shouldn't be used in babies under 6 months of age. My pediatrician told me not to use it. I use distilled water for making formula. There was no way I was boiling water all the time. Doctor said distilled is fine. Most of the time she gets RTF, I'm not sure what kind of water Similac uses - I wish they would share. Even the container of powdered formula doesn't really answer the question - it just says "water". Today that could mean lots of different things.
Apparently Flouide stays in the body and it's not really good for you, as OP mentioned there's plenty of info out there that suggests it's not a good idea. I'm sure no harm has been done, but as I finally did - I recommend calling your pediatrician. The labeling and sales of the stuff is very deceiving. That's all BRU sells and it's right next to the formula so what is a mom to think?

Re: Nursery Water?
Our doctor didn't recommend fluoride until 6 months of age (there is none in our drinking water). So now he has a vitamin with fluoride, but he is 8 months old.
We did not use nursery water and his doctor didn't recommend it. She said filtered tap was fine, though I boiled it also in the beginning. Don't know if it was necessary, but I felt better.

Re: Nursery Water?
I found this link for you, it discusses the concerns parents have about flouride. Its good for the teeth. But too much is not good. There a very small amout of flouride. http://www.nurserywater.com/

Re: Nursery Water?
My Ped told us to boil tap water and no floride. They said even if we use bottled water that it wasn't sanitized so we would have to boil that too.
