Nursing
I have decieded to take the required courses to get into the Nursing program at Nassau or Farmingdale. It was not my first choice but I think I may like it. I know it is alot of dedication and I have that. I hate my job. I got a Paralegal degree thinking I would love it and I did, but the stress is killing me slowly. Any words of advice.

Re: Nursing
If you do a search on this board, there's been a few threads that may help and give you some more insight. I don't want to discourage you in anyway (and, if you have questions, please feel free to ask me), but if stress is an issue for you, i'd reconsider nursing I dont think most people realize what's really entailed in the job (i definitely didn't) and sometimes it can really be a rude awakening. Don't get me wrong- i dont regret going into nursing at all. But, the reality of the job is significantly different than the vision i had of it. Good luck!

Re: Nursing
Thank you for you info and will probably FM you. I do not doubt that nursing is stressful but I think it has more rewards than my current career.
I will definetly look up the old threads.

Re: Nursing
I just got into a nursing program, if you have questions about prereqs or certain classes, please feel free to FM me. I took one nursing course this summer, but the real "fun"="stress" begins this fall.
