NY law re insurance & IF coverage?
I know NY law requires some IF coverage. I haven't been able to find anything regarding IUIs. I called my insurance company and was told I only had diagnostic coverage. But, a friend of mine works for an insurance company and she told me that all insurance companies are required to at least partially cover IUIs. According to her, the only things they're not required to cover are IVF and sterilzation reversal procedures.
Anyone know anything about it? I even checked the statute itself, and there was nothing mentioned regarding IUI.

there is some statute about some things, BUt it is not for every employer, small companies , religious companies, and self-funded insurance companies (like union insurance) are all exempt from the limited mandate that NY does have

I work for a small company and they were insured through LIA (Long Island Health Alliance), the only thing that was covered was diagnostic tests. IUI's were not covered and IVF definitely wasn't covered.
