NYC and extrended childcare leave
Does it have to be a round number like 4 weeks/8 weeks or can it be like 5 weeks. I have to submt this paperwork ASAP...I don't want to go back I hate putting it in writing.

You can take Childcare Leave up to 5 years per child. After my FMLA ran out I took another 7 weeks and then went back. I was taken off payroll and I have to say it was a PITA but totally worth the extra time I got to spend with DD.

I took an extra 6 mos. was off payroll and my principal had to approve it. I too had twins and wanted the time off. Good luck.
