NYC dinner-Help!

A client is coming into town from Vegas with her 7 & 12yr olds. Where on earth do I take them for dinner?? Obviously something different that they can't get on a normal basis!

What about the new Grimaldis in the Limelight Marketplace? There may be a little bit of a line though. It's pizza only (but really good thin crust pizza) so you'll be having pizza for dinner but I doubt the kids will mind. Your client may not mind being that the pizza on the west coast probably s*cks. Plus where else can you have dinner in an old renovated church?

Re: NYC dinner-Help!

I would NOT do a chain. NO way No how!

I would look for a unique experience.

How about hangawi? it's a Koren restaurant and you actually take your shoes off, sit in low chairs, and the waiters dress in Buddhist monk garb and they light a prayer candle on your table. It's all about eating as a sacred act.

The food is good, but it is authentic Korean, so that might scare people away?

Expensive, but View at the top of the Marriott Marquis is nice. Rotating restaurant in Times Square.

Becco is nothing too unique but it's a good standby.

Anything in Little italy. Just nice going down there. or Dim Sum in Chinatown?
