NYC restaurants near west 43rd (theatre district)...
Not italian... Any suggestions?
A friend has a broken foot so she's looking to stay near that area.
The only place I know is Virgil's BBQ. She may be looking for something just a 'smidge' nicer.

juniors cheesecake shubert alley i think w 44th or W43 Street and 8th ave (really good deli type food) and the BEST salads. not to mention cheesecake.
St Andrew's 43rd and 6th - great scottish pub food buffalo calamari to die for.
There is a french place across from virgils it is pretty good. I dont know if it is still there I think it was cafe une dues trois?

44th between 5th and 6th (not sure if that is too far) Kellari Taverna. Amazing Greek Food and Amazing Atmosphere, awesome place just for a drink too!!! They have a great pre fix menu too.
