NYC Schools -- Open school week?

We've always had it..it's typically the week of November parent teacher conferences and parents come and watch for about an hour

thanks...one of my friends has it at her school and the parents can stay all day - every day of the week... I find that would be so unnerving for the kids

With the new contract it has to happen in September - basically a meet the teacher night (not a week!!)

Yes, I agree. It must be in September and for a meet the teacher night. A whole week all day is a little excessive. I hope that it never has to be for a whole week. We will already be under enough pressure.
