NYC schools closed TOMORROW!
ABC just reported that NYC schools are ALREADY closed tomorrow!! I'm guessing many LI schools will be too!!

REALLY!?? THEY NEVER CLOSE!!!! I worked 8 years (before my child care leave) in NYC BOEvand they closed I think twice for snow....
one was the day before in anticipation and we got a dusting...so watch we will get nothing and bloomberg will never do that again!

This early....wow...hopefully we get the snow they are predicting. They closed so many things this past saturday for the upcoming snow storm that really never transpired.

That's exactly why I think they're doing it - gives parents a chance to make alternative childcare arrangements!

I will never forget when I was teaching in 1998.
Giuliani closed the schools for a THREAT of a hurricane...in SEPTEMBER!
And of course...it didn't even drizzle.
Gotta love planning ahead.

I know! I was in the NYC public school system from K-12th grade and they never closed the schools. The year after I graduated was the blizzard of 96!

I saw this too and was because they NEVER close the NYC schools unless it is REALLY bad. Looks like a lot of LI schools will prob do the same for tomorrow too!
