NYC teachers... snow day Wednesday??
So, what are we thinking ... Will Bloomberg give us the day off?  
Honestly.. I have a feeling they will close..

He closed last yr for a similar storm!

Yep, he needs to save/restore himself.   So this might bode well for us and closing. But I'm with those who won't be going in. I take the train but the roads on the way home Friday were bad- I live in that little area that got socked with 8 inches.
Tomorrow, PJs inside out!

At 8 months preggo- he is NUTS if he thinks Ill be going in... same with DH- he crosses the Throggs Neck bridge- no way I'm letting him drive in that mess! But I do think we are getting a snow day on Wednesday

There was a storm last year where he canceled the afternoon beforehand, before anything even started and they were just predicting it to be bad.
It's possible the same will happen today where he'll announce around noon that schools will close tomorrow! You never know!! 
Needless to say... snow days are a gift and I won't be bringing home any work tonight just in case!

He declares a "weather emergency" in that no one should be driving....
yet on the news they say they base school closing on whether or not the school buses can travel safely....
soooooooooo if it's a weather emergency and no one should be driving unless absolutely necessary, SHOULDn't our children be safe on those buses?

It makes no sense at all... I was saying the same thing about declaring an emergency yet potentially keeping schools open!
You would think after the criticism he got two weeks ago, he would at least close the night before so parents could make arrangements.
Oh well.... I strongly believe it can go either way, but with allllllll the districts in LI closed and my commute being an hour on a GOOD day, I don't think I'm gonna be a super hero this time!

Sitting here at 4:54am waiting and I can't get on the DOE site...
I only live a mile away from school and have only a few days in my bank from maternity leave...so if this idiot opens, Im going to try to make it in while DH gets to stay home with DS...
