NYC Teaching Fellows
Hi All!
DH just had a very successful interview with the Fellows last night... I think it's going to be a go. He has a law degree and a political science/economics B.A., so he's hoping social studies... but that's unlikely and he will probably get special ed. which he's fine with...
I know a lot about the program (I am a teacher and worked for the Board of Ed. previously)....
SO, my question is... He will be doing the mid-year program...they start training in September and then subbing, etc. in October... basically the mid-year Fellows replace the teachers that quit or take over classes that are split for enrollment purposes.
Anyone here complete the Fellows program? Anyone specifically complete the mid-year Fellows program?
Help, advice, opinions, etc. appreciated.
thanx.....

Re: NYC Teaching Fellows
Hi- I was in the June 06 Fellows Program....congrats to your DH!! It's really exciting and a great career choice! I was in the fashion industry for 5 years and desperately needed a change!! My advice is to your DH is begin looking for a job as soon as possible! Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions!! I'll try and help out! As a spouse, just understand that the program is demanding and have patience!!
