Re: OB Office Wait Time
I go to a high risk doc so I get a sono when I go. The average time from start to finish is between 2-3 hours

Re: OB Office Wait Time
Usually 20-30 minutes. But time of day definitely makes a difference.

It depends on what Dr I'm seeing... how many Dr's are there that day and what time of day my appt is.
I've never had to wait an hour though.
I've tried different times of the day and it doesn't make a difference they are always so backed up! There is 4 dr at the practice but I only see my doctor. It just annoys me having to wait so long for the short appointments where you see your dr for about 3 minutes.
Are you at all able to get the very first appt of the day?
It sucks because the further along you get in your pregnancy the harder it is to sit there ya know? It might be something worth bringing to the attention of the office manager... maybe the staff is schedule too many appts in one day for this Dr.

Wow, my doc is a one-man show, and I never wait more than 15 min, EVER!
Ditto this. I know he's had a busy day if I wait more than that.

Re: OB Office Wait Time
To get in, usually about 15-20 minutes. The whole visit takes about an hour/hour and a half. (I get sonos everytime I go, so that's why it's long).

Re: OB Office Wait Time
I think the issue is a lot of times OBs run into emergencies, which sets back the whole rest of their day. I think the office should call and give you the option to reschedule when this happens.

Re: OB Office Wait Time
I wait MAYBE 10 mins usually I sign in and am called in about 5 mins. When I had gotten my BFP I called at 9:30ish and got a 2:30pm apt.
At my previous OB I would have waited about 30mins to be called and would have NEVER gotten an apt on the same day.

Re: OB Office Wait Time
I go for the first appt which is 7:20 am and I go before work (I start at 9 and its a 20 min commute) I usually wait 20 mins. It all depends if there is a patient in there who needs extra care.

Re: OB Office Wait Time
I have to say, I hardly ever wait (maybe 10 mins max), but I also tend to go early in the am or take the end of the day appts. There are a few dr's in my practice, but my dr tends to run on time (while still seeming incredibly thorough and attentive)
