Odd question: Do you wear sleeveless tops to work?

Just wondering what the etiquette in your office is.

I do. I'm a teacher. But I'm talking like a sleevless turtleneck. Any tank tops or spaghetti straps either have to be covered wtih a shrug/jacket or worn over another kind of top.

I do but it's usually cut right at the shoulder. I don't wear tanks to work unless thee is a cardigan over it

i work in a higher education institution. there is no dress code. unspoken rules are nothing too grungy/sloppy, skimpy/revealing and no shorts.

We can't wear sleeveless unless we have something over it

yes I do, but never spaghetti straps or one that's really low cut.

Yes I do but I have seen some people who should not be showing armpit. I am not even referring to hairy armpits, it's just that some people have weird looking armpits. Of course I am not referring to anyone here! But, yes I do wear them to work. When I have to dress up for work, I am often in a suit with a sleeveless shell but the jacket stays on in court anyway.

I am a teacher as well and I will wear sleeveless topsl. I, however, will not wear spaghetti straps.

i have no dress code so i wear sleeveless but like button down sleeveless or something like that. . . no tank tops or spaghetti straps or anything like that

I work in a small office & have no dress code. I do wear tank tops but no spaghetti straps. Otherwise, anything goes but I try to keep it neat & not "beachy"

So basically anything goes.

I, on the other hand, hold myself to my own "dress code"- I will wear sleeveless, but not spaghetti straps...

yes, but they are high cut sleeveless and I usually have a cardigan or jacket over it. I take the jacket off when I am at my desk and put it on if I'm going to another floor or going into a meeting room.

I don't because it's always freezing in my office, but otherwise I would - as long as it was a top with appropriate coverage, like a sleeveless collared button-down blouse. No straps, nothing low-cut, etc.

No. I'm not a fan of armpits on display in the office. But I'm weird. Some of the other women--including the boss--go sleeveless, so it's technically OK.

Yes, but they are always modest in the bust, so nothing low cut. I usually have a jacket with me though since it does get cold with the AC.

nope, don't like my arms enough. even if they weren't yucky, I probably still wouldn't. Like a prev poster said, I'm not a fan of armpits in the office.

No tank tops, spaghetti straps or the like, but yes the ladies here will wear sleeveless tops. Like sleeveless blouses, sleeveless button down shirts, or sleeveless knit tops.

I think we can, but I choose not too.

I would wear a cardigan over it, but I don't like the way it looks.

At my old job we couldn't wear sleeeveless at all.

I have..sometimes a sleeveless turtleneck..usually no tanktops unless its a half day friday.

our h/r dept and operations dept follow the business casual rules. everyone else..well..lets just say some pple come to work looking like they rolled in a pig sty. others come to work like they stepped off the runways of milan.

I am a teacher and as long as the top is dressy, we are allowed to. I have a tattoo that I try to cover up, so if the shirt doesn't cover it up, I do not wear it.
