I think someone posted this recently but don't remember. I need to get my electric updated in the house as it is almost 35 years old.
Does anyone know how much that runs? Thanks!

We paid about $2k to go from 100 amp to 200 amp, but after reading what some others posted, I think we paid a lot.

It can range from $1700 to $2300. There are some variables that can increase the price.

The people we bought our house from had to upgrade the electric for us because they told us they had 100 amps and really ONLY HAD 60 amp...I don't know how they ran an inground pool and 2 air conditioners in teh summer but they paid $1600 to upgrade to 200 amps

we are in the middle of doing that now and it is costing us $1800. Every electrican we spoke with told us that prices have gone up because the price of copper has tripled this year. But the electrican would probably need to come see your house to give you a definite estimate.

That is true the price of copper has tripled dur to world wide demand from markets such as China and India. The price of many building materials is rapidly increasing.
