Re: ***OFFICIAL APRIL 2015 THREAD***
Thanks ladies! Went for my final appt today and still only 1cm dilated. I am scheduled to be at Stonybrook on Wed afternoon to start cevadil and then pitocin the following morning. I have been having contractions on and off all weekend so I am hopeful it will happen before Wednesday. Baby is measuring about 8.5, god help me. But, looks completely healthy and strong. I can't believe how real this all is now, and scary!

I'm still here-- nothing going on as far as progress. One more week of work then the waiting game begins. I'm getting so anxious, not about the birth so much (well, a little bit about that) but more about the change in routine being home all day (I will miss certain things about my job & working-- though I'm going back several months down the road I will be out for a while), change of going from 1 to 2 kids & how I'll handle that... and starting all over with a newborn again so bf-ing/pumping & not having the evenings free to get things done & have time for myself after DS goes to bed, sleepless nights to come, etc... I'm worried he'll be as difficult as DS was as a newborn... if so I may lose my mind. These are the things keeping me up at night. Physically I feel better than I did a month ago-- actually I am feeling too good so I'm thinking this baby will be staying put for a while-- absolutely no sign of labor coming any time soon (I'm 38w1d right now)!
DD is 2 weeks old and I understand everything you are feeling. I find myself getting sad sometimes thinking about how easy things were with just 1 and the fact that I have to start all over again. But everyone keeps reminding me how fast it goes and to enjoy it while it lasts. DD1 will be 4 next Monday and I seriously cannot believe how fast it went. You are not alone in your feelings, i def have my moments where I need to be alone to just let it all register. Good luck!

DD is my first but the day before my c-section I had a literal panic attack, I wanted to forget the whole thing. It took me 4 years to get her and if i could have cancelled her at that moment I might have. Knowing how much our lives would change scared me so much. I think anxiety is normal.

Re: ***OFFICIAL APRIL 2015 THREAD***
Hi ladies! I am so happy to announce that I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Ryan Keith on 4/22/15 at 4:15pm, weighing 8lb 14oz and 21 inches long. He is the absolute love of our lives and we are so fortunate to call him our son. We named him after DH's brother who he lost 11 years ago.
I was scheduled to go in for an induction on Wednesday at 2pm. In the process of getting ready, I was stepping out of the shower and my water broke completely but was green which is a sign that there was meconium in the amniotic fluid. We went straight to Stonybrook and after getting checked by my doc, they said the baby was still way high and no way he was going to drop. Being that I ate, we waited the 6 hours to see if things naturally progressed otherwise I would get a csection at 4pm. Around 3:50pm, the nurses came rushing into my room because they saw on the monitors that the baby was in distress and his heart rate crashed to 60. It was very very scary and I can't think about it without crying still. People were screaming that he was still down after 8 minutes and running in and out of the room. They were flipping me from left to right and then onto all 4's. They rushed me into the OR on all 4's and DH had to wait until they can get the baby and me stable. When saw DH walk into the OR, I just started crying because I knew it was going to be okay. From the time that they took me until the time they had him out of me was only 14 minutes. He didn't really cry right away and they had a hard time getting him to get some color. Watching them shove tubes down his throat and finally seeing him spit up and start crying was nothing I can ever describe. I am still in shock that it's a boy. If I am blessed to have another, I wouldn't change being team green, it was the most incredible surprise ever. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff at Stonybrook, Dr. O'Keefe and Dr. Lochner. I absolutely love Stonybrook OB/GYN. Finally, here is a pic of my little man

***OFFICIAL APRIL 2015 THREAD***
Just wanted to check in and see how the late April momma's are doing! My due date is tomorrow (4/28) but seems like nothing really is going on! She is still moving around like crazy! I have an appointment on Wednesday (if I don't have the baby before then) to check progress. OB will let me go one week past my due date to see if I go into labor on my own before we talk induction! How is everyone else doing?!?!
