Updated for baby girl!! Congrats

Looks like we're just waiting on BabyBump99, BabyRocky, & teaforthree for updates now Chat Icon

How's everyone doing? Only a little longer until 3rd trimester!! Crazy how fast this is flying by (for me at least). I hope everyone is doing well and not too overwhelmed with preparations for Christmas baby on the way. haha.

Kinda like that quote about raising kids "The days are long, but the years are short". I feel that way too, Alexandra.

Do you ladies feel your baby move everyday? I'm 25 weeks and normally I feel him move but then yesterday if I felt a tiny kick that was it. I got him to move this morning a little by laying on my back but I make myself nervous.

You know what, I will say that my baby is VERY active (I'm 24wks), and most times I feel him all throughout the day - ESPECIALLY at night when I'm laying down. However, there have been a few days in there where he seems not to move as much. Just this week (I think it was Monday) I noticed that I hadn't felt him move all morning. It completely freaked me out. I vowed that if I didn't feel him the rest of the night, by the next morning I'd be calling the OB to have a sono and get checked. (I can get paranoid). But he DID move around that night so I didn't bother. I find that some days he just doesn't move as much as others. Usually he'd VERY active at night, but there have been random nights where he doesn't move much at all. I read in my What to Expect book that it's just their personalities. Some days you're more active than others. We don't really need to start counting kicks and all of that until 3rd trimester. So I think what you're experiencing is normal. But if it really worries you, then call OB. I know for sure that if I go a full day without feeling movements, I WILL call her and not feel weird or guilty about it.

I'm 23 weeks and usually feel a good amount of movement, but I do feel more some days than others. I think (and hope) it's normal!

Thanks everyone- he's been moving around a lot more today so I feel better. It only happens about once a week but I need to start noticing what days I don't feel him much (like if I am more active that day, etc. cause yesterday I was moving around a lot more and lifting some things at work so maybe that's why- I don't know!) ...I haven't been paranoid at all while being pregnant and my mind just jumps all over the place when I feel weird things/don't feel things.

I haven't felt this baby nearly as much as my first, but in the last 2 days it Occured to me that it's because this baby is more active during the day, and not before I go to bed, which is when I'm thinking about and expecting it.

I am 26w4d and a couple of weeks ago there was a stretch of a 2-3 days where the baby didn't seem to move much at all. I was a little worried. But then she started back up again and now I feel her moving all day long, several kicks at least once an hour.
Having a little sugar seems to do the trick!!

I've been doing awesome! I was just hunting down this post to see how everyone was feeling as we approach our 3rd trimester Chat Icon

Only negatives thus far is the tiredness and heartburn. But other than that, I've been feeling really great and watching my belly move has been such a thrill. Can't wait to meet this little man Chat Icon

That's for digging this up! I've been meaning to do the same too! Baby is kicking around like crazy, even when I've been out of it with an upper respiratory infection. And I've seriously popped some more in the last 2 days! Glucose test next week!

Hello ladies, how is it going. Anyone in their 3rd trimester yet? I am 27 weeks and 3 days, so I consider myself in the third trimester. It's going so fast, less than 13 weeks to go and so much to do.

Glad everyone is doing well! Heartburn is still my worst enemy - I can't wait for that to stop!

I had an incident over the weekend where I had a little bit of blood but I went to get checked out and they couldn't figure out what caused it and the Doctors felt better about it once they inspected everything and things seemed to be fine. I still get some anxiety when I think about it and the only reason I feel ok now is because this little guy is moving around all over the place!

11 weeks to go!!

I love the WARNING on top of this saying that it's an old post. How on earth did we already get to month 7?!?!

Anyhow, Ellsey, it sounds like you've covered all your bases and baby is FINE! But I know how scary blood is during pregnancy. So glad you're feeling him move a lot, that must be very reassuring. I know some people bleed for reasons that have nothing to do with their pregnancy. It's so strange. Chat Icon

Gforce - yes!! I was following the What to Expect book and when I reached 28 weeks on Tuesday I couldn't believe I was already in the 3rd trimester! I know some resources say you're in it at 27 weeks too. Crazy how fast this is going. I have just a little less than 12 weeks to go, that sounds insane to me. Especially since I've been hoping he comes before due date rather than after. (I really don't want to be in the hospital over Christmas. ugh.) I'm done with all my shopping at least, but do still need to get his nursery finished (and DD's new room) and also start cooking/freezing a few meals.

Christina - good luck with glucose test!!!

Alexandra - It's definitely the best part of pregnancy to feel all that movement Chat Icon I hear we're supposed to start doing those kick counts now. I feel like that's just going to stress me out. lol. Hopefully he keeps up all this activity for me so that it's not an issue. lol.

Down to the last 2 months here! Just checking in to see how everyone's doing.

I finally went through all of my baby clothes so I could categorize them. Also began painting nursery. Still lots to do though! I can't believe my due date is only 9 weeks away. Chat Icon Seems so surreal. Sometimes I still can't believe there's going to be another member of our family soon.

Re: ***OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2015 MOMMIES***

We have 10 weekends left and have done nothing! We have nothing! The nursery is still a full-fledged office and that needs to change! I haven't gone through the boxes of clothes downstairs from dd! The differences between preparing for your first and second are so true!

I am glad to hear i'm not the only one with nothing done.
The nursery is still a storage room, I need to empty it and move stuff to the attic. I need to go through DS clothes to see what I have and what I need.
I keep telling myself that I am just waiting for DS birthday to go by, then I will start preparing for the new baby. I hope it's true, DS birthday is the 22nd this month, so hopefully the weekend after i start working on things. I need to empty the room, getting it painted and actually replace the windows in there. oh yeah, I also need to buy furniture for the nursery.

It's crazy to think I'm only 8 weeks away- I remember the day I found out I was pregnant, it felt like yesterday. It's insane how fast time goes. I've been feeling good minus the hands, feet and ankle swelling.

I hope everyone else has been feeling good also!

Our nursery has really been coming along. DH put the floors down, painted everything, hung the blinds and yesterday he picked up the furniture/placed it where it was supposed to go. I walked into the room and cried (blame the hormones lol) because it's really hitting me that our little man is going to be here with us soon. So exciting and scary for me all at the same time but I can't wait. We still need to do so much with the nursery but I'm glad we have this much so far!

Re: ***OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2015 MOMMIES***

Yeah, we still have a ton to do too. I'm finished buying things (hopefully. lol) but in order to get nursery done, I have to first move DD into the playroom (meaning I need to turn it into a super fabulous BIG GIRL ROOM) while also preparing the NEW Playroom in the basement. So in all it's 3 rooms that have to be done at the same time and I'm hoping to have it all completed by Thanksgiving since that will be 3 weeks before due date. Once that day hits, I'd really like to just sit back and wait. So hopefully all of this works out according to plan. Chat Icon I just know that once baby is here, I'm going to be in no mood to do a damn thing concerning bedrooms so it better get done now.
