Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I had big ones to begin with too! It's very scary! Gotta love the back pain that comes with these gems!
OK- so, as I'm waiting here I looked in the babies room. We have a 2bdrom co-op and have to leave the desk in there so she'll be sharing. Plus, my DH has taken over that closet so we can share the other one in our room.
My point is, her room is going to be so tight and now I"m sad. The Glider will have to go right in front of the window and there will be barely any room to move around in. UGH... I wish we had more space. (Not that the baby needs it right away, but it's not going to change in a year)

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I wouldn't get yourself worked up on the space. We have a house, but we rent the upstairs to a family member, so really all we have is a 2 bedroom apt also. We always joke that our apt in florida is bigger than the share of the house we have right now.
Her room is very tight and its even tighter now that we put a toddler bed in there and are making way for #2.
We are hoping in the next 1 1/2 years or so to kick out upstairs and move them both to their own rooms.
I have learned to utilize space whereever I can. I got the under the bed bins and put 2 under the crib for storage since her closet is small.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Thanks!!! I just like space and I know my DH thought we ordered more furniture than was necessary to begin with. Oh well... he'll deal - LOL
That's nice that you have the upstairs that you'll eventually be able to utalize!
I hope to be in your shoes soon- part of the 2 under 2 club. So, we'll be moving eventually! Although, I'll play it be ear since I know I can't make "plans" for that to happen- God will laugh at me.

Furniture is arriving today- YAY
Oh- for little Gabriella, how about Renee for a middle name? Did you pick one yet?
Just getting bigger and it's harder to move around. I can't put on my sneakers or socks in a normal fashion.
Went on the tour of L&D, so it's becomming more and more real.
I can't believe that we have less that 60 days to go!
Shower is next Sat. Although a lot of my friends can't make it, sure we'll have fun! Looking forward to it.
Most of the maternity tops don't fit anymore due to my big boobs! I'm so sad and refuse to buy more, so they just ooze out of the top- oh well. LOL
Hope you are all doing good!!!
we did Gabriella Marie...Marie after his grandmother.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
HI All!
I am 31 weeks today and feeling great. I am constantly hungry so I am trying to eat little things all day long. I am trying to get as much mommy and me time with gianna as possible before #2 comes.
We haven't started anything for #2, she will be sharing a bedroom with Gianna. The only thing we did do was order the crib, i just have to go get it now.
I am getting antsy, and feeling so hot all the time. My feet and hands swelled up this past weekend so no more shoes for me. I def feel in so much better shape and much more limber than with Gianna.
I am def getting a c section, just waiting patiently for my date, prob July2-July 5th, unless decides to come sooner.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hey mommies
I am doing well. I actually feel really good except for tiredness in the evenings and soreness in both of my sides. My feet haven't swelled up and I am still wearing my rings. My shower is next Saturday and I am so excited about that. Going for hospital tour on June 9th and breastfeeding class during the month of June. Meeting the first ped on May 17th and the second one on June 4th so i have to choose between the two. I feel like things are going so fast. Before you know it we will all be holding our little ones in our arms.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I am 30w & 2d, as of last week baby was measuring 3lbs. Still haven't gained any weight which my doctors are not worried about since the baby is growing, but Diabetic NP wants me to see the Nutritionist next week. Feeling extra tried lately. Can't wait for my shower on May 27th. Still working on the nursery. So excited to have about 9wks to go.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi ladies, we're in the home stretch now...how uncomfortable is everyone!?!
I'm hoping my last day at work is Fri., but now they are starting issues w/ possible disability q's (although I have the days coming to me)...I will NOT be happy, if that is the case!
I feel huge lately & the heat is brutal. My feet/ankles are swollen and my 36 wk appt is next Tues., followed by my growth sono. I can't wait!
I'm curious how some of you know the babies' weight already....
Also, just post again what hospital you are delivering at.
Did you all decide on a pediatrician yet?
Did you pack your hospital bags?
Post your due date again too.
Mine is July 2

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
33wk & 1 d today. Growth sono last week had little boy measuring 4lbs 5oz. Went for my 33 wk visit today and had a biophysical which baby lost 1 point for not doing practice breathing movements which had MD a little concerned and contemplating putting me out of work. He said tired mommy makes tired baby, so he decided to place me on the NST machine for an hour to monitor baby's heartbeat. Everything turned out fine but they want to see me back at the office on Monday for another visit and Biophysical. I am an L & D nurse at North Shore in Manhasset and trying to work to the end as such as I can so that I can save my time for baby's arrival. I will be delivery there also. Actual due date is July 17th, but will be induced a week before unless I go into labor on my own because of my Gest. Diabetes. Ankles and feet get a little swollen when I stand for long hours especially when I am at work, elevating them helps. Haven't packed my hosp bag yet. Looking forward to baby coming in the next 6wks.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I am due July 2. I had a growth sono 3 weeks ago and baby weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces then so I am sure he's in the 6's now. I have been in preterm labor since 32 weeks, and am now 35 weeks 2 days so I have not been having much fun on bedrest. I have been having contractions for the past 2 days, and I am all out of my Terbutalene, so this baby maybe coming very soon.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I am due July 29. Last Thursday I had a growth sono (30w 4d) and the baby is weighing 4 lbs 9 oz about 2 and 1/2 weeks ahead. My doctor put me on bedrest at that same appointment because of my legs swelling so bad. My blood pressure was 130/70 not bad but a little higher than usual so she was worried about pre-eclampsia. Other than that, everything is fine and the baby is doing very well.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi all, sending some {{{cool breeze}}} vibes in this hot and humid weather.
I don't know the weight of the baby. No growth sono here. Very basic care. Next appt is on the 13th. I'm delivering at DeWitt Army Hospital (takes all services) hence the basic care-haha. My pediatrician will be decided for me.
I have started my hospital bags but I'm not done.
I'm due July 8th (changed from the 10th.)

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi there everyone,
Went for a growth sono yesterday at 35 1/2 weeks. Baby is weighing in at 6.2 pounds already. I cant believe it. Doc things it will be a 7.5 to 8 pound baby. DH and I were both 7pds 11 ounces when we were born so i figured the baby would be about that size. Little one is doing well and was sucking his/her thumb yesterday when we went for the sono. I am not dilated yet but my cervix is softening and the baby is head down in a good position, which is what the doc says.
I have seen one pediatrician and will see another one next Monday. I really liked the first pediatrician that I saw he is like 30 minutes away from my home. He is really a great advocate for breast feeding which is what I loved.
I have started my hospital bag but its not finished as of yet.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi everyone.
Well I'm feeling really good..still playing golf and working. Waiting on the baby's furniture to come. My last day of work will be the 10th of July and I'm having the C-section on July 12th..6 weeks from today. The heat isn't bothering me too much but getting up to Pee 20 times a night is LOL..
I'm going to see a ped this afternoon and my next dr. apt is tomorrow. I havent had a growth sono..he didnt even mention it so i'm assuming i'm not getting one. I'm delivering at South Nassau and we are excited and nervous. I haven't had my shower yet, its next Sunday and I'll pack my hospital bag like a week before I go. Hope all is well with everyone else.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Still feeling pretty good at 34 weeks. The heat sometimes gets to me. Lots o' heartburn -- fun fun! Had a growth sono at 33 weeks, which went very well -- the lil' feller is four pounds, five ounces. (In my case, the old wives' tale is true: heartburn means the baby's got lots of hair!) Strep B test and birth experience class next week!
Haven't packed a hospital bag yet. Nursery furniture arrives early next week. I can't even remember the other stuff that needs to be finished!

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi everyone!
July 10 Lenox Hill/Manhattan
The heat is getting to me! I get prickly heat normally, so now, it happens the minute I go outside. It didn't prevent me from going to the beach last weekend though
Went for the 32 wk growth sono 2 weeks ago and she weighed 3lbs 10oz.
Baby is breech and backwards!
From the beginning, they thought I had a heart shaped uterus, so, they're almost 95% sure I do. Therefore, baby will remain breech and I will need a c/s. I'm not scheduling it as of right now, I'd prefer to go into labor and let her come when she's good and ready. (Dr. is not happy about that- oh well) Only issue is, neither is DH. They say w/ the uterus issue, I'll most likely go in June anyway.
They're now concerned with her growth and they're sending me for a 36 wk growth sono. If her weight isn't up where it should be, they will take the baby so she can grow outside of me. I really do not want that to happen!!! Oh, and for the first time ever in my life, I have high blood pressure!
Other than that- looking for a Ped. and doing the hospital bag this weekend.
