Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
We are going to officially start the nursery in 2 weeks. We have so much to do, it is really going to keep me busy. DH will of course be doing the bigger things like the molding and the window treatments, but I want to paint and decorate, so I have something to keep me sane. I just started getting uncomfortable a little bit,and my 20 month old DD is a little monster. She has me on my toes all day long. I have started buying sleepers and onesies for our little but I am having a hard time finding cute outfits. Any suggestions on places to shop for boys??

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi ladies!!!
We got the nursery done this past weekend... well, painted. We're simply waiting for the furniture now. Phew- I LOVE the nursery!!!! It's Kittery Point Green/Pottery Barn for Ben. Moore.
I've started and finished the registries... although, wouldn't you know it... I had a hard time picking bedding and now, the invites for the May 19th shower went out and Pottery Barn has a new bedding that we're both in love with! Problem is- I think his Mom went and bought the old one so- oh well... LOL. I'll probably be totally obsessed at this point and add the new one on and have 2- oh well.
I'm not in the majority for July- we're having a girl Name is picked out too.
Going on the hospital tour this weekend- YAY

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
DH finally got into gear & moved our desk out of baby's room & into our room, so our rm is tight now, but baby's room is empty & painted & we're going for carpet on Thursday. The crib is coming in next week & then my shower is that sat....so exciting!
My glucose test is the 13th, I'm a bit worried.
We have our names for girl, but not a middle name for a boy. We're keeping it a secret.
We start lamaze in a few wks at Good SAm (anyone else going there?) for classes?

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
So far we put in the laminate flooring in the nursery and hoping to touch up the cracks this week and paint within the following week so that we can put up new molding. I definately popped even though I haven't gained any weight and lost 12lbs.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Doing good here. Getting a tiny bit uncomfortable, but not too bad. My little guy loves to start wiggling as soon as I lay down to go to sleep. My shower is next weekend, I am looking forward to that. We decided on bedding finally so I should be starting the nursery in the next couple of weeks.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
LOL... how funny... I just posted a thread looking to see if there were any July mamas here... and it looks like there are.
Well I'd like to introduce myself...my name is Patty and I have a son named Luke who just turned 15 months. I'm due July 16th with a little girl. Thats right... I'm going to have 2 under 2... I know I'm crazy LOL.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear/read most of you are doing well. I'm starting to reach the point where I'm feeling really pregnant... it just kinda hit me last week and all of a sudden I'm having a lot more difficulty doing things that weren't too bad before. Oh well.. I think these next few weeks are going to be pretty long ones.
I don't post here very often (as I said in my other post I'm already addicted to another mommy message board and so I probably won't post too much over here... I can't risk the carpel tunnel LOL) but I figured I might be able to meet some ladies here to actually meet up with or even just hellp me out with Long Island related questions.
Are any of you located in South Nassau county? I'm looking for some pg friends to meet up with, maybe start walking (or waddling) with now that the weather is nice. If not, maybe some of you have suggestions for a good place to meet some other mommies. TIA

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi all! Hugs to all the July mommies. I know we are starting to really feel preggo!
I have heartburn pretty much 24/7-blah-but otherwise I'm good. Just hada check-up last week things are on track. I took my 1 hr test, the midwife (who I love) said no news is good news. So far no news.
We started painting the furniture.
I can't wait to have my shower! It's May 19th and so exciting. A lot of out of town folks so it should be fun.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi Laides. I am doing just fine. Feeling really pregnant most of the time though. Had my one hour and passed that, thank goodness.
I am eating like a pig and I feel like this baby is just getting bigger and bigger and bigger. I cant believe I will be 31 weeks on Sunday.
I have been to the hospital once which was last week b/c my doc wanted to check and make sure i wasnt going to have pre-term labor. Everything came back ok with the tests. So this little one has to roast for a little while longer.
Going to get the rug in the nursery done sometime in the next few weeks. My baby shower is May 19th and i cant stop looking at my registry. One thing has been bought already, which is my monitor.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
My shower is on Saturday!! I am so excited to start getting everything ready! My MIL generously offered to buy our crib bedding, so we have to wait for that to come to really start the nursery. I painted it last week, but we still need blinds, and to do the molding.
I have been starting to get SUPER hungry. I eat all day long, and I can't seem to get rid of my hunger, guess the baby is having a growth spurt. Hopefully I don't have one as well.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I'm sooo tired!!!
Passed the glucose test- YAY.. but I'm anemic (spelling?) so they're having me take Iron supplements!
Shower is May 19th, I never thought it was a good idea to try to surprise a pregnant woman! LOL
Furniture will not arrive until the last weekend in May, so, we're still just staring at an empty but nicely painted room. Hopefully, DH will put in the A/C this weekend and hang the curtains up.
I spoke to my Dr. yesterday about the possibility of going early, as in JUNE and she said absolutely NOT. I'm a little bummed, as for my bad back, I was hoping that when I turn 37 weeks, it would be OK. She said the earliest they would induce or do a c/section would be July 3rd. I know, I may sound really really silly, but I'm am totally bummed out about this and have been an emotional wreck since yesterday. (MY SIL also miscarried identical twins- I cried my eyes out for her)
Other than that, just trucking along. I hate commuting to the city now and have counted that I climb up and down 150 stairs everyday!!!! UGH

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Hi July mommies to be....any updates?
I just went for my 32 wk appt....
measuring well, found out a few wks ago I passed my 1 hour glucose (125) & I'm not anemic; feeling huge lately, tonight is our 3rd lamaze class; DH has been working on the border in peanut's room.
I'm soo excited....can't believe its less than 60 days to go!
I'm starting to get tired again, but not as bad as the first trimester.
Hard to bend to put on socks
No stretchmarks in sight (yet)
I'm also lately in the next bigger maternity size
How are you guys doing?

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Haven't been on the boards in a while but thought I'd update. Had my shower last weekend, which was great fun. Everyone loves buying baby clothes... I have a zillion onesies (all sizes) and socks!
After failing the one-hour glucose screening, I passed the three-hour with no problems. The test is tedious but really not too bad. (Note for those who hate blood tests: in my experience, they used really tiny needles for the three-hour, so it's not too scary!)
At my last appointment, I was told that I lost a pound and that they want me to put on weight. I'm supposed to drink those Ensure-type things twice a day. So far I can only manage to do it once a day, though. It's funny... how often does one get told by a doctor to GAIN weight?
Hope you are all doing well!

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
Feeling huge here.
I have my shower on the 19th, so I'm an official registry peeker. Stuff is coming off so I am really excited!
My back pain has increased, oddly enough it hurts more when I sleep. Stretching and a little bit of ligth heat from a heating pad does help.
The room is coming along. I'm not going to really decorate till after the baby is here, but I did get a few things and can't wait to post pics when it is all done.
Hugs to the July mommies!

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I also passed my 3 hour after failing my first. I went for my 31 week appt last night. Everything is measuring well and the heart beat sounds good.
I haven't really done too much preparing yet. I need to get my butt in gear and go shopping.

Re: OFFICIAL July Mommies THREAD
I am feel good except last night I kept waking up everytime I turned because I wanteed to turn faster than my belly aloud so I was still waking up even though DS decided to sleep through the night . Yesterday DD was having a ball flipping in my belly. I have never that kind of activity before and it was strong movements. I think she keep switching from head down to transverse.
I also need to stop buying her cloths. In all fairness though I only have neutral sleepers in size 3-6 months. But most of what I have bought has been either sale or clearnence. Like yeterday I got her a pair of capris, a shirt to go with it and a sleeper for a total of $10.40 . I am done shopping now because I know people are going to get her cloths.

Feeling okay here. I am on bedrest, so I have been really bored. Still have alot to do, and really am not sure how I will get it done on bedrest. I still have to buy the carseat and double stroller, finish the nuresery and finish buying stuff for my hospital bag.
Baby is moving around like CRAZY. I thought he was supposed to be moving less in there, but man, you should see my belly move!

Furniture is arriving today- YAY
Oh- for little Gabriella, how about Renee for a middle name? Did you pick one yet?
Just getting bigger and it's harder to move around. I can't put on my sneakers or socks in a normal fashion.
Went on the tour of L&D, so it's becomming more and more real.
I can't believe that we have less that 60 days to go!
Shower is next Sat. Although a lot of my friends can't make it, sure we'll have fun! Looking forward to it.
Most of the maternity tops don't fit anymore due to my big boobs! I'm so sad and refuse to buy more, so they just ooze out of the top- oh well. LOL
Hope you are all doing good!!!
