Has anyone announced yet? I'll be 11 weeks on Monday and wanted to wait until my 12 week sono, but we have a wedding with DHs family on Saturday and finding a dress was so hard. I found one I loved but it showed my bump. My mom encouraged me to buy the dress and announce to the family that way. She said to just enjoy the pregnancy. I have to admit I'm a nervous wreck about it but I guess she's right. Plus they'll all be there so it'll be easier. Last sono was 9w2d so I just pray everything is still good.

Did your doctor ask you if you wanted it or just tell you to get it done? I didn't have an option ( I would have had it done regardless so I didn't question it at the time) but now I'm wondering if that is just standard practice at my OBs office or if she saw something in my history that made her feel the test was necessary.
My dr didn't tell me anything about it. Just said to make the appt for 12 week sono. Actually the sono tech told me too so I assume it's normal practice for them.

My immediate family and some friends know. I am torn. My doc said she feels a person is as close to 'in the clear' as they can be once the NT scan results are in. I'm having my scan done at 12 weeks 4 days and my doc said it could take up to 2 weeks for the results!  I really don't think I can wait until 15 weeks to tell as I already have the start of a bump so i really do not know what to do!

We were waiting until after the NT scan and blood work at 12 weeks. Well, I had my NT scan and some issues came up  So I am now having a CVS testing done. Once I get those results back, well.... who knows if the news we tell will be good or bad  Please pray for me!

Got some good news regarding the CVS testing, but we are still waiting to get the full panel results! Once I have them early next week, we will tell everyone and finally start enjoying it all!

Can someone add me to the group? I am due on March 26th, but this is my 2nd pregnancy and my daughter Emily was born via c-section, so the doctor says that we'll do a repeat section, probably on the 20th!

We went for our NT scan today at 12 and 1/2 weeks. They did a sonogram- got to see and hear the heart beat and could see the baby jumping inside of the sac- it was so cool!!! They gave us a 3D picture too! Then they did a blood test. The results go to my OB, but the tech and the doctor that did the sono both said everything looks great. This was my fist external sonogram (the first 3 were internal)- this was definitely the best by far! It was all done at LIJ and everyone was really nice. They said we will come back in 7-8 weeks for another sono where they check out all the babys organs. We are finally going to start telling people this weekend- I wanted to hold out till this sono to make sure everything was good!

2nd trimester!!!!! Yay! Ok, now I'm ready for my energy to come back and to be able to eat real food again
NT scan is on Friday. I can't WAITTTT to see this baby again and see how much  has grown

16 weeks now! Due March 14th! Not revealing sex just yet, even though we know because we had the CVS testing at 12 weeks!
