Re: Oh, so you must want this one to be a girl.
Some people just have no filter and others are frankly stupid. I have ne just as good. When we told our MIL that we were pregnant (nevermind this was our 3rd try - 2 misscarriages - then success with IVF) all she could say was "oh, I hope its a girl, I want a girl" ... What about, congrats and I just hope it goes well and is healthy... Well when we found out it was a boy all she did was walk around with a pitiful face and say "damn, I want a girl" SERIOUSLY!!! She didn't just say this once either. It so happen that she made the same stupid comment in front of my mother. I thought my mom was going to kill her.
talk about unfiltered and inconsiderate!

I hated that so much.
I now have 2 boys and a girl. I love love love that I had two boys back to back.
Same.
It really annoyed that it seemed people thought I would be dissapointed if the 3rd was a boy.

I am not trying for #2 yet but hearing stuff like this makes me SO annoyed. Before I got pregnant I always hoped I would have at least one of each at some point. I thought I would somehow be "incomplete" if I didn't have a boy and a girl. Now that I have a DS he fills my heart with so much joy that I could honestly say I would be equally as happy to give him a little brother as I would a little sister. I could have 10 boys and no girls and I would still feel blessed beyond words.

Re: Oh, so you must want this one to be a girl.
I have a dd and this time I got do you want a boy or girl? Me: it doesn't matter. Happy and healthy does.
I also got. "I hope it's a boy for your sake. You can be done after this one. Just like your sister!".
Really. Maybe I want 15 kids. I don't understand this thought process. I dont let it bother me. I just laugh and move on. But it's so insensitive.
