Re: Oil Contract...COD, Fixed or Ceiling?
I don't get a drop too often, so I like to just pay the price it is at - I don't want to get locked in at lets say $3/gallon and then we have a huge drop and everyone else is paying $1/gallon. It could also go the otehr way, but I figure if I pay high hopefully I won't get a drop for awhile. I also call about a week before I need the drop and ask about prices - I then have them deliver on a low day

Re: Oil Contract...COD, Fixed or Ceiling?
IMO if you have a full contract and not COD oil get fixed..I got burned with ceiling..when I signed up they never mentioned that to get a lower price than the celing oil prices had to go down a certain % so even if the prices were 20 cents below my celiing I still got charged the max.

Re: Oil Contract...COD, Fixed or Ceiling?
We have a ceiling rate with Petro. We can't be charged more than $3.05/gal and we will receive the lowest delivery price when a delivery is made.
Our deliveries are automatic and so far we haven't paid over $3 all season.

Re: Oil Contract...COD, Fixed or Ceiling?
We signed with Petro in March/April. I didn't do either option (Fixed or ceiling).
Right now we are watching the market before locking in. We have made out better the last 2 deliveries by not being locked in to fix or ceiling.
