To do COD or a Ceiling Plan for oil?
We just purchased a home and I am looking into oil companies. In your opinions what is beter to do a COD plan with a contract for maint. or a ceiling plan with a contract for maint.? Right now the COD pans are about 2.35 or there about and the Ceiling plans are about about 2.70. I just don't want to get screwed or anything if god forbid the prices go up. Any opinions welcome since Im a total newbie at this house thing. Thanks so much.

We locked in a rate. We did this because we were afraid of the price going up. And we liked the idea of balanced billing.

We locked into a ceiling plan for our oil with Petro, so we were always guaranteed a low price, but it was set in contract where it couldn't go higher than a certain point. We also added on a contract for servicing the burner/furnace.
