Ok - I am torn
My anniversary is this Saturday.
For the last couple of days we have been trying to figure out what to do. We are still unsure, but have decided we will make reservations for dinner where we got married.
So this is my dilemma. I have been talking to DH about how I don't know what to get him. And he doesn't know what to get me. Well, I keep saying that why don't we not get anything and lets book a trip for January when he has vacation.
I just feel since I am out of work, and we are slowly trying to pay off bills, and with a baby on the way - this is the better thing to do.
Well, I think DH is still going to get me a gift, even though we both agreed not to get anything. What do I do?? - I have no idea what to get him, and I feel like I am back at square one.

Well since the first anniversary is paper maybe you can get him something along those lines...tickets to a show or game or lotto tickets. I think a trip would be present enough, are you sure he is going to get you something besides?

i think that waiting and going away on a trip in jan is a great idea
That is what we did. We just went out for a nice dinner on our anniversary and our cruise is in Nov!

I have a feeling he is. Yesterday we were around family and his niece had gotten her ears pierced and I mentioned that I haven't wore earring in a while, since I was having a reaction to them and I saw the light-bulb go off in his head and he gasped out - oh yeah! So I think he may look into it, I am not a 100% sure he will get any - but I am not sure.

You are carrying his baby- his gift of paper can be the birth certificate But I agree with the trip! You can also wait and see if he does and if he does surprise him with something on the trip!

we did nothing spectacular for our 1 year anniversary
I did the sexy pics from Glamour Shots for him (it's paper!) but I did not get a gift from him.

Since it's the Paper Anniversary and you want something not so expensive...why not make up a coupon book for things like a massage, foot rub, breakfast in bed, hugs, etc.

I get so mad - cause a couple of months ago, I had an idea and I didn't do it and now it is too late.
I was thinking of finding someone that paints or does sketches and was going to give them this picture.
