OK - I need to ask - another 3rd trimester question about agility...
Please don't get mad at me fellow 3rd tri ladies....
But are there other 3rd tri ladies who still feel remarkably agile? When I go to schools to observe, and there are no seats in the gym, lets say, I'll plop on the floor indian style, and people will extend their hand for me to get up, but I'll pop right up...
also, I run a social skills group for 4 and 5 year olds 1 afternoon a week - I'm up, I'm down, I'm speeding around the room, shaking our sillies out, sitting to read a book, popping up to get the materials needed for the activity.... I move nonstop...
I don't waddle, I still walk rather quickly (I always have somewhere to be in 5 seconds)
The only time I move a little slower is waking up - I try not to spring out of bed because when I do I get those muscle twinges in my abs... Also, if I have to sit up on a stool, its a bit harder for me, and I need help bending down to tie my shoes
Other than that, I feel like I can pretty much move and get around as quickly and normally as I have in the past.... Anyone else????
now my brain capacity is another story!
ETA: I don't want to jinx myself, but I've had no back pain or leg pain - I did have a pain in my groin a few days ago - but I was sitting, and felt much better walking around, and I actually did a standing bow stretch and it did the trick...

I do get an insane amt of Braxton Hicks contractions - probably from being so active during the day as well....

tying my shoes is uncomfortable - as is putting on socks - but otherwise I feel fine. I get tired at night and have some back pain - but I havent needed to slow down much at all.

Me too. I sit indian style at my desk and we have 5 flights of stairs in my house and I am up and down them constantly.
I have a lot of braxton hicks as well, probably for the same reason.

Re: OK - I need to ask - another 3rd trimester question about agility...
Honestly, it depends upon the day.
If I do overdo it (cleaning, etc) my lower back will feel stiff the next day.
Sometimes, I can easily bend down and pick things up and other times I just ask DH to get it.
I've said this before but think it has a lot to do with their position. In the last 15 minutes has moved and is not in a good spot... OUCH.
Up until that, I was hanging the border in the nursery.

This is totally how I feel. I haven't had trouble doing anything really except tying my shoes and I'm all over the place doing things my DH is to lazy to do, even after I nag all week.

So far, I can do it all....an ache or pain at times but im good.
I walk the mall, lift the laudry basket full of clothes, SHAVE , though I do see that getting harder. Bending over its a little rough since it requires stomach muscles and um, yea.....mine are gone!

i'm like that, no pains no aches, i can even still tie my shoes. I look at people strangely, when they offer up their seats, lug the laundry up and down 2 flights of stairs to the basement, I help DH move things, bring out the garbages. i don't waddle, and i don't look 9 months pregnant, i look 6 months pregnant. this is actually the 1st month that people are asking me when i'm expecting. I hope all my pregnancies are this great.

Re: OK - I need to ask - another 3rd trimester question about agility...
Not that I really consider myself "agile" , but I have no problem sitting on the floor, I could certainly get up myself, but by all means, if people want to help me up so I look a little more graceful, I graciously accept the help. I figure I dont have much time left to take advantage of everyones generosity, so I take advantage of it now.

YES! People are like - oh - you are pregnant! Congratulations - when are you due? I'm like " next month!" It shocks them every time....

Well I'm the odd man out here...I am so slow and everything aches most of the time. If I try to go fast I get sick and feel like I'm losing all by breath, have cough fits and throw up. Getting dressed, walking, in fact everything takes longer and I appreciate the rare and the random offers for help.

In regards to agility.... I can't see my private parts anymore if this is what you are asking.
In regards to "speed walking".... I take my sweet @ss time to walk.

Me too. I wish I was agile as I used to be. I am slow and achey. I am extremely uncomfortable 99.9% of the time and doing things like putting on my socks and shoes is not only hard, but it hurts. Sometimes I can barely get myself out of bed....lol. I feel like my 80 yr. old grandmother.

Because so many moms are complaining about pain and not being able to move around - I didn't want anyone getting annoyed with me...

Re: OK - I need to ask - another 3rd trimester question about agility...
i'm definitely a "preggo" woman. DH makes fun of me all the tiem. I waddle and all of that. LOL. I had a waddle since my 16th week. I dont know if its all in my head or what. I still do things like lifting grocery bags sometimes etc. But DH always gets on me about lifting heavy things he does most of the heavy lifting. I am starting my yoga tape this week so hopefully this will help me be more agile. Funny thing is I was very agile before becoming pregnant. I still shave though and tie my shoes although its a bit uncomfy.

Liza....I think most PG girls here know that we are all different, will experience the pregnancy in different ways, have different pain tolerance, have different medical histories, will have different size bellies, weight gain, childbirth experience, etc...
Nobody is going to be mad or jealous at you because you can still do a flip, a split or do rock wall climbing. I think if you can still do it, that's great!
