I dunno...I never really thought about it.
I had mine pierced when I was 7 or 8, and it hurt like holy hell and I remember it. I think I would've preferred to have it done when I was younger and wouldn't remember.

I don't have an opinion on it really. A lot of times ear piercing is a cultural thing, and I have no problem with it.

Yes personally I would've liked to not have felt it...but...I think it looks weird on tiny babies.

i am in fabor. do it young... i was 3 and i still remember the pain when the dr. did it. I also think the kids are more used to them since they don't know its something new if you do it earlier... sothey are less likely to try and take them out.

Mine were pierced when i was only a few months old i believe so no pain that i can remember... im all for piercing a baby's ears! ive actually never even thought twice about it... i babysit a girl who is almost 4, no pierced ears and i always wonder why it was never done

I was about 3 or 4 when my mom took me to get my ears pierced. I remember it, but I don't remember it hurting.
I think ears piercing is fine at any age. I don't think it really matters when it's done.

It seems a little wierd to me, just b/c no one in my family does it for babies.
I don't think you're ruining the kid's life or anything of you do it though.
My cousins & I had them done as older kids, after we asked for a while.
I know , for my mom , she is just grossed out by ears, so she wanted to wait unitll I was older enough to do all the cleaning & stuff you have to do in the beginning.
I wouldn't do it on a 3 or 4 year old though. It just seems like it would be a disaster.

Ditto. I love them on babies. Helps me determine the gender.
