ok, dumb concussion ?
forgive typos, only 1 hand as i'm icing her head at same time
sarah hit her head HARD on our dr table. she can see right # of fingers & knows her full name. do i need to worry about concussion? if yes, what do i do?

Does she seem sleepy? I think your supposed to keep child awake if possible a concussion. I would just give peds a call and ask them, if there are any specific signs

does she have a visible bump?
is she coherent? dazed out? That will determine whether or not she had a concussion.

Check her pupils for size and reaction. Make sure they are the same size, then take a flash light have her close eyes (or you cover them with your hand briefly) and open/uncover them while you shine the light in and make sure they react (pupils close down) at the same time and the same size -if all checks out ok she should be fine, but if you are really concerned check with her MD.

thx everyone. i was on hold with dr for what seemed forever. lol
they said vomiting and if she gets sleepy earlier than normal.
no lump, eyes seem fine. she was really crying hard so i got nervous.

Yes usually vomiting is a good indicator as well.
They say sleepiness but my son usually hurts himself around nap time (lucky me) so that one always drove me nuts! I usually go with eyes and vomit.
Glad she is OK!
