Some kind of mealworm in my cereal.

This happened when I was about 7 but as I typed that I started gagging again. Here I thought I was over it.

I ordered steamed dumplings when I lived in the city from a chinese food place and when I went to open the plastic cup container with the dipping sauce, there was a roach floating in it.

I called the place to explain what had happened and the girl said "I dont understand what the problem is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I threw the whole order out!

Outback.... curly hair on a chicken wing


Chinese food... opened up a container of pork fried rice and there was a roach just laying on top. My Dad took it back and the guy actually asked if he wanted another one

I have one more.. but it was more my fault than anything. ... I was laying out by the pool in the summer and I put my can of Coke on the ground... a little while later I picked it up and took a HUGE gulp... and then noticed the can was covered in ants

You would have thought I'd be tipped off by the sound of crashing glass behind the bar...nah. What I thought was salt, turned out to be a mouthful of broken glass. Some over head hanging glasses broke at least twice while we were there and guess what, they are right over the ice box
I had enough glass in my mouth that I was able to save a few pcs and gave them to my mom in case something happened to me. Do you know they didn't even replace the drink? AND I've actually gone BACK more than once already! STOOPID!

cooked up hair on my wendy's fries..it looked like pubic hair. DH and I were just starting to date then and we'd joke "we want the #2, hold the pubic hair"

Not in my food - but just a few weeks ago we went to this supposedly great italian restaurant for DH's graduation and we are sitting at the table and a roach is walking along the wall next to FIL - he tries to kill it and it somehow runs into a crack. Not ten minutes later ANOTHER one is walking in the same area and it was a different color so not the same guy...FIL got that one. So, the food was good but not that good - we won't be back anytime soon.

I have seen roaches many times - usually I just leave the eating establishment at that point. One time, in a diner, the owner went running back to our table when I told him why we were leaving. As if he were going to yell at the roach or something

but one time at school i left my chicken cutlet sandwhich not wrapped tight enough, bit into it and it was all ANTS

hair! IMO, finding a hair in your food is just as bad as an insect

I never thought I'd be able to answer this but it happened to a friend, her husband (at the time) and I at a local sushi restaurant. We ordered edamame and when we got to the middle of the basket there was a HUGE (and I'm not exaggerating) roach in the basket!!!!

Do you know that they didn't even buy us a drink or anything???? They just brought us more edamame (as if!)

WOW Some stories !

One silly story over here, not nearly as bad as these other stories, a few months ago, we were opening one of those Thai soups (the ramen style ones), we were all excited to try something new, well my hubby finds a nice long dark hair, it was prepackaged with the soup
needless to say, he hasnt eaten those soups since. and we laugh every time we see any pre-packaged soups.
and he's like "Ahhh, fresh from the factory"

ETA: Thank God he hadnt eaten it yet, he was JUST about to when he saw the hair.

We ordered chinese in levittown about 2 weeks ago, got it home, hadn't even taken it out of the bag yet and there was a roach in the bag......took it back, got our money back and threatened to call the board of health. My S/O went back a few days later and demanded to see the ext. invoice. They actually showed it to him.....will never go back there.

I have the worst luck but i think it might be because I inspect everything that I eat before it goes in my mouth.

Sorry but who know how many bugs you eat when not looking.

This happened to me over the summer. We were out with a bunch of people (you know who you are ) and I ordered chicken fingers. While I was eating it I found a piece of metal in them- I guess a piece of the deep fryer fell off into them It was so gross and I kept thinking about how bad it would have been if a ate it

Just this past weekend I was putting the groceries away. I went to rinse the cucumbers and one of them had little maggots festering in it. I almost barfed in the sink. DH is never allowed to pick the produce again!!!

As we were eating at friendly's once, my sister warned me to always check the side dish of cole slaw. She said since most people dont eat it, they just leave it in the dish, top it off and serve it to the next guest. This leaves it open for anyone to contaminate it for whoever eats it next. Low and behold our order comes to the table, my sis inspects her cole slaw and surprise, there's a sugar packet in the middle. Now every time we go out to dinner and they serve us cole slaw, I always ask her if she'd like sugar with that.

Not in my food, but in the restaurant, I was at a brunch place in Brooklyn Hgts, and there was a little mouse running all over the floor, I saw it but didn't want to tell my sister, and then I made eye contact with a woman at another table, and we both burst out laughing over it.

I was at a McDonald's in college with my friend..wait for it...it was 2am and we were stoned. We got our cheeseburgers and out of my cheeseburger comes a waterbug.

Its hilarious now, but I was off the weed for a week after that. I have never been back to a McDonald's.

2 things have happened to me:

1- I found a bug in my yougurt just floating on the top- it was dead, but still. And then when I called the yougurt company, the guy on the phone was not even phased- so I suppose its a somewhat common occurance.

2- I was eating a sushi roll at Peter Lee's in East Meadow with a bunch of friends, and I had already ate half of the roll, and then noticed a huge curly, pubic type hair sticking out on the next piece. I complained- and the waiter did not want to take it off the bill. I actually had to fight with him- he wanted to charge me half since I ate half the roll. He was so rude. I told him I wasnt paying for it at all. I refuse to go back there.
