ok so the Verizon guy is coming..
no more cablevision for me..
no more news 12..
but i got a better rate, and Cablevision has been giving me tons of issues lately...audio loss, audio hits, etc...
I'll be happy with Verizon, right?

I have Verizon (switched from the regular "Cable company" and have been THRILLED with the service since. We have no complaints.

We have verizon and the only thing I miss is News12. Otherwise it's the best thing we ever did was to lose Cable

change is good..
epscially when you change a change or want to see a guide, it comes up a split second as oppsed to waiting for 10 seconds.
quality on TV is much better. I was never into news12 so i don't feel like im missing anything

If you have an optonline email account make sure to change it to another one. Optimum will lock you out of the email after a certain amount of time since you won't have an account with them anymore.

I had cablevision my whole life until 6 months ago.
Very happy with Verizon, I actually like the set up of their kids channels so much better (I have a 2 yo so I watch these channels all day long!  )
And trust me if you arent happy, Cablevision will JUMP through hoops to get you back...I can't even begin to tell you the offers they have given to me since I jumped ship!

I've never had Cablevision, b/c I lived in NYC and had Time Warner before moving to Nassau. DH had Cablevision when he lived with his parents. We both LOVE FIOS and prefer it to both of the cable companies. We rarely, if ever, have problems with our service, and I love the guide and all of the interactive features. We have the DVR box that allows you to watch the shows you recorded from any other TV in the house that has a regular box, and we love that.

Verizon just came to our area so we are calling tomorrow to make the switch. Will we be ab le to keep our phone number? That's the only thing I am worried about. Id hate to have to remember a new number.
