ok, there MAY be a light at the end of the tunnel....
Since this afternoon, I'm having a good deal of pre-labor cramping today (at the bikini line and elsewhere.. no backpain though). I know some women get that for a day or 2 before organized labor pains begin... so there's a slim chance things may be brewing. this would be very good.
I guess I'm ready  Home is totally ready. Lots of groceries at home, clean laundry, and I'm even cooking a large pot of chicken creamsoup for the next several days.
I still have stuff I have to do at work, and I unfortunately just established a collaboration with a group in japan this morning.... so I have a lot of paperwork to do to finalize that  but I'm hoping to get that on autopilot before I blow!
Dr's appt tomorrow morning... hopefully I'll be dilated more than just 1cm (as on thurs)....

my contractions were only in my bikini line I had no idea they were contractions, my doc had to tell me, by time I got to the hospital I was already 4.5 CM. good luck!!!

REALLY??!!!
well, they're pretty constant right now.... they come in waves, do NOT go away when I change positions (unlike my BH contractions). I should probably time them.
the big thing is that they're not that painful! I was told by my OB that I should call when I feel like I was hit by a car....
were your contractions painful, or just like bad menstrual cramps?

Mine were not painful until the very end when I had to have my c/s. I went from closed and no dialation to 7 cm (the last time they checked) within 24 hours.

yeah, I think I'm having contractions they run about 8-12 min apart.... well, if I'm not on the board tomorrow, you'll know why!
but becuase I can talk through them and I don't feel 'like I was hit by a car' (charming description provided by my OB) I suspect this may go on for quite a while.....
all the 'laugh and learn' ladies know that part of the DVD.... go home, you're not really in labor... you're too happy

I didn't even realize that I was having contractions. I kept on feeling like I had to go to the bathroom, but then realized it was coming every 2-3 minutes. My contractions were not painful until they started me on pitocin and broke my water at the same time (I was 6 cm). Good luck!!!

Any updates? I suspect that since you didn't post about your doctor's appt this morning, things may be happening!! Come on Scone!! Come on out and meet your mommy and daddy!!
