ok you are all going flip out when you hear this
I went to the getty gas station on portion rdin lkae ronkokoma and the gas says3.29 that i have to pay well i told the guy i want $15 on reg unleaded he says that the gas is half price of 3.29 so it is actually 1.29 i paid in gas today. when it said 7.50 it was actually $15 dollars i paid. i could not believe it!

Well, not for nothing, but 1.29 isn't half price of 3.29. Also, isn't it illegal to have a different price? I mean, that's GREAT that it's lower, but something doesn't add up

Ok, wait. Now I'm confused. Maybe I'm just not reading it correctly. You paid 15, but only got 7.50 dollars worth of gas? OR, you paid 7.50 and got 15 dollars worth of gas?? Or neither thing I'm thinking is correct?

how do i explain it you have to go up to the getty station on portion rd they had a piece of paper explaining it i should have took it i am not good in explaining anymore. the gas price at getty said 3.29 but the guy said it was 1.29 for gas. i ask for 15$'s in gas and the guy said when the amount say's $7.50 its actually $15 dollars.

I would make sure you got the right amount of gas

It sounds like something is wrong with their pumps and I thought they were not allowed to sell gas if the pumps are not calculating correctly. anyway...
So what you paid was $7.50? But the pump said $15.00?

If you paid $15 for $7.50 worth for gas you paid double what you should have.  Tell Bob to go get gas there and find out what is going on.
ETA: To simplify this, if it was half price, the pump would have said $30, and then he would have taken only $15 from you. I just called Getty and there are no special sales going on.

UH, Im a little confused too but it sounds as if u kind of got taken. I hope thats not the case.
You have to be careful.
I even heard that if they were offering cheaper gas that some were putting water in their gas! 
Terrible!

alot of places put water in their gas... even before the prices were so high.

I think what she was saying is that she told the guy to give her $15 worth of gas and he said that the gas is half price that's why it only came out to $7.50 on the pump.
I wonder if you actually got the approx. 5 gallons that you should have gotten.
