You should have gotten around 5 gallons of gas, did you check the pump?

Let's say, hypothetically, that gas was haf price. Wouldn't the word have gotten out and the line either been around the corner or they would have run out of gas? And wouldn't News 12 have been there profiling the only station with gas under $2 in the tri-state area, possibly the country?

i doubt it! check it out on portion rd in ronkokoma this is what the guy said. he said i am paying 15 dollars but its going to stop at 7.50 i could have gotten ripped off but everyone's aunt and uncle was there.

okay, it sounds like they did not program the pump correctly. Instead of setting the pump at $3.29 for 1 gallon, they set it at $1.29 per gallon.

So, you did not get any kind of sale. They just didn't program the pump correctly. That's why it said $7.50, but you paid $15. You made out slightly better. Here are the calcs

$15 divided by $3.29 per gallon means you should have gotten 4.56 gallons.

If the pump was set at $1.29 per gallon and they stopped it when it said $7.50, then you got 5.81 gallons.

$7.50 divided by $1.29 = 5.81 gallons.

So, you saved: $4.12

(5.81-4.56 = 1.25 extra gallons X $3.29 per gallon = $4.12)

no he ment 3.29 sign at the getty station was actually 1.29. i am not sure i am confused my self now my head is spinning.
