okay to use nasal spray?

I have a cold.......so stuffy!! I read in "Pregnancy Do's and Don't" and they said it's okay to use nasal sprays including non-saline ones. I've used it the past 2 days..........was that okay? Any opinions?? I am nervous I made a mistake!! TIA!!

I used saline for a while until I got my humidifier. I read that Afrin is a definite no-no. As for the others, you should definitely call your doctor's office to check. Hope you feel better!

I was told only saline nasal sprays

My RE said it was fine for me to use Nasonex as directed and I think I asked him at least 4 times. Two sprays in each nostril every morning. If I dont use it, I cannot breathe. However, everyone is different and I would ask your doctor.

I had major congestion issues when i was pregnant and saline drops did not work and I used Afrin minimally and it worked for me. I never even thought to ask my doctor about it.

Ask your doctor.

My doctor okayed my prescription Flonase for daily use as well as Afrin when I had a really bad cold.

Thanks for the replies!! I was SO stuffed up and the saline didn't do anything for me so I did use Afrin but minimally as well. There is so much conflicting info. out there when you are pregnant. I got nervous after I took it and was worried I did something wrong and hurt the baby but I am glad to hear some of you used nose spray and were okay. I will try and get by today without it. Thanks again!!
