OK..i know im annoying today with these questions..but i feel like all i
do is work around dd and her bottles..i give her 4 bottles a day with 5-51/2 oz each of milk.(she wont take sippy cup yet )anyway can someone tell me what your schedule is for feeding? i give dd milk right when she gets up..so im not sure if she is even hungry for her food..i think she has too much milk during the day..and im not giving her enough table food..my sil said i could probably give her only 3 bottles a day..but how do i do that? do i give her solids first? gosh why are these stages so confusing to me?? thanks for your help

I could have written this word for word! my son LOVES milk (so do I) and my pediatrician told me I had to cut back when he had his 1 yr. appt (he'll be 3 in Oct.).
Basically, the way I got him to drink less of it is by giving him food instead of giving him a bottle. and then I'd give him water with a splash of juice for flavor to wash down his meal. He usually asked for his milk afterwards, and I'd give it to him, but eventually, he just ate more and didn't need the milk as much. He still drinks a good amount of milk. He just loves it.

DS gets 2 8 oz bottles of milk a day. One with breakfast & one at bedtime.

thanks girls!! now what are the times you feed your dc? im trying to get an idea on how to incorporate main meals..instead of going around milk..like you do formula for the first 9 months or so..
right now my dd gets up at 7am.
7am-5oz milk
8-830--breakfast
9am nap-
11-1130am-milk
1230 or so-snack
3pm MILK
5 pm dinner
7 pm MILK
i guess i have to try and feed her first..she is so used to her bottle..but im out during the day alot and im sick of packing bottles..what happened to mother's instinct..i just dont have it

DD is 14 mths.....
she wakes up around 7 AM...drinks 8 OZ milk around 7:30 AM
breakfast at 8:45 or 9:00
lunch around 1:30
dinner around 5:30/6
8 OZ milk at bedtime (7:30)
we started this about 2 months ago...before that we did 3 bottles a day - - there was one in there late afternoon, about 3 PM.....

DS is a little younger but he takes 3 6oz bottles a day. His schedule is this...
wake up around 7:30
8:30 breakfast and a bottle
11ish snack
1:30 lunch and a bottle
3ish snack
6:30 dinner and a bottle
I didn't see you mention lunch. Try giving DD a meal instead of one of her bottles.
