Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
I vote for dinner together then bars sans preggos. I'm not preggo, but I despise spa things. I don't like to be touched!

I would ask the preggos what they prefer. Personally, I would love a spa day, but I know when some of my friends were pregnant, they wouldn't go near a spa due to the chemical fumes from the hair products and nail polish and such.

Honestly, assuming all things went according to "custom", all your preggo friends already had an opportunity to do what they wanted for their own Bach party. I say make your plan for a fun evening. I agree with starting out somewhere for dinner. Then move on to what YOU want to do. If they feel up to it, fantastic....if not, then they go home after dinner. You only do this once

I am pg and if I was going to a BP I would definitely prefer a spa day to a night in the city.

I just went to a bach. party in June and there were 3 pregnant girls there - we went to a restaurant (forget the name ) and we all had a ton of fun even though they couldn't drink..

ITA - this is all about you! While I think that it is really nice that you are taking them into consideration, you definitely don't want to look back on it and say I wish we would have...
When I was pregnant I did both - massage, nails etc and I went out to a bar the week before I gave birth, so lets just say I wasn't too small I would recommend that if you do go to dinner and then for drinks that you try to choose a place that has somewhere for them to sit if they get tired. Maybe somewhere like Dip where you can do a dessert fondue (so that those who can't drink can participate) and they have really yummy drinks for you.
Another option is to get a hotel room or suite, have someone in to do massages, nails etc - those who can drink can if they want to. Play some great movies - kind of like a big pajama party. Order in room service, etc.

Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
I would say dinner. Not sure where they are in their pregnancy's but in the first trimester I did not want to be anywhere near the fumes of a salon. Also, most places won't give you a massage during this period and after that you really need to go to a maternity spa. Also, a lot of the products used in facials are not always pg friendly so it may make your friends nervous.
I went to a bachelorette party when pg - we did dinner at a trendy restaurant in the city and then the non-pg girls headed out to party.
Hope this helps

I thinkk it depends where they are in their pregnancy. I felt the EXACT same way at 5 months. At 36 weeks that is a totally different story.
But, like others said - it is your day - DO WHAT YOU WANT - and let them plan accordingly! I was in a bridal party and went on an all day bus ride wine tasting tour for the bachelorette party - not only could I not drink but the bus was not good for my morning sickness at all! But I sucked it up - cause it was her day

Spa Day
Then if the non-preggos all want to go bar-hopping, I would do that too!

I am pregnant right now and would prefer dinner!
Same here. I was not a fan of spa days before I got pregnant, though, so I am probably no help at all.
I think if the ones are pregnant want to participate they will, regardless of which you choose, so I say do what YOU want to do.

Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
I'm preggo, and just went to a Bachelorette party. It was awsome. We did a spa, then took ferry to fire Island for dinner, Myself and my SIL who is also preggo took off after that while the rest of the girls stayed out, worked out perfectly!!
Wanted to add..do what you want to do, preggos will have to make decision for themselves if they can participate.
HAVE FUN!!!

Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
i say plan your day the way you want to
most if not all bachelorette parties involve dinner
so the preggos can come to that and then have the option of doing the after-party

I say do what you want, but just tell your preggo friends what the plans are ahead of time so that they can plan accordingly.
At the same time, it might be nice to do the spa day bc almost everyone will enjoy it. Just make sure you choose a spa that also specializes in pregnancy massages.

I was pregnant for my SILs bachelorette party. We all (guys too) went bowling and split up for dinner afterwards.
Spa sounds nice, but, I think I'd opt. for the dinner.

I went to my friends bachelorette party at South Beach when I was 5 months pregnant and had a great time.
But I agree....dinner and a spa is a good idea.

Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
I think dinner out followed by whatever you want to do (club, bar etc) is perfect!
I was over 6 months pg for my best friends bach party but still went to bars and had fun. I didn't make it as late as the others but she understood that I left early. We had a blast! I'm not sure how far along the girls are for you....
Also...I'm not a big spa person BUT that would be ok too. I would get my nails done i think, i'm not big into massages and like others said its hard for a pg woman to get them if its not a specific prenatal massage.
Good luck and most importanty have fun!!!

Spa would be ideal.
I was pregnant for bachelorette parties. However, my job as a pregnant friend was to dance, laugh, NOT COMPLAIN & be the designated driver.
o how i wish my pregnant friends/family were as considerate as you
I was going to say - it's your night! It's nice of you to try to accomodate them but do what's going to make you happy. I think a nice meal with the pg ladies followed by some real partying is a good idea. There's no reason why the pg women can come into the city for dinner (unless they're REALLY pg) if that's what you want to do.

Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
I would say spa which I did actually....but I wasnt pg ..at the time.
Um, my only thing was there was no time for talking.....we kind of just were all taken and got our facials, massage, etc so maybe a small gtg afterwards to enjoy each other and get to relax, drink and for the non-preggos..ust chill

Re: ok...im going to have 4 pregnant people for my bachelorette party...
I had a preggo at my bachelorette party and she came with us to the club and danced and drank cranberry juice all night!
I say plan what you want. It YOUR bachelorette party, they probably already all had theirs and if you include dinner (or lunch or breakfast) they can at least join you for that. You may be surprised - some of them may really want the night out before the babies come along.
Whatever you do - have fun!
