OLAS
Just wondering if anyone has been successful in getting an interview and/or landing a job on Long Island through OLAS? I know many districts are using that instead of mailing resumes but have never heard anyone be successful with it.
Are there any other sites aside from OLAS, that post district openings?

I use to work at BOCES and asked my supervisor (lead educator) if she can help me get a job back at BOCES, she told me to go to OLAS too, if I find something she can be my reference. NOT much help :( that system is a lot of work

OLAS
Yep, I'm an OLAS "success story". Got my job in my current district via OLAS and this September will be year #11. To my knowledge, there is no other site that compiles all the LI districts like OLAS does. You can always visit each individual district's website and check under their human resources section. I do know that there are a few (8-10) districts on LI that do not post/use OLAS.

Yes, I've received interviews and jobs through OLAS.
As was said to be safe check every district's Web site.

i got my job through OLAS, although I am not sure if it was entirely from there. Everytime I apply for jobs through there, I also look up the superintendents, and asst. sup. emails and send everything to their direct emails as well. I heard that I got my interview because of the asst. sup. was impressed by my cover letter that I e-mailed her.
ETA: check the NY Times too

I can count the number of times I have been called from OLAS on one hand, but I did get two different jobs from it.

I was hired through OLAS back in the day -- sadly tax cap caused lay offs, so back in the DOE; but OLAS definitely works.
