Old life vs new live
What do you miss about your old life? And what do you love about your new life?
I miss meeting up with DH and/or friends for a drink after work on a Friday night. I really, really do. For some reason that just symbolizes spontaneity and freedom to me...
But I love being the first to see DS reach his milestones and to then get on the phone and tell everyone! 
What are yours...

I dont miss much at all.
Once and a while I am envious of my friends who can make spur of the moment plans and meet for drinks etc, but other than that...everything is pretty much the same, but better!

I miss the spontaneity as well. We didn't go out a lot anyway, but just the fact that if we were sitting there and decided, "lets go see a movie" or something like that, we can't.
And I do miss being able to sleep late (if I can ignore the cats )

Yes, I love this too and hearing my little guy laugh and stare so intently at me sometimes, like I am the most important person in the world - it's amazing

I really don't miss anything from my old life.
I love waking up each day to see that beautiful little face, I love being home with him each day. I love seeing DH so in love with him. Right now things are pretty perfect ...ask me again in 15 years and I may have a different answer

I miss sleeping a little later, and going out to dinner w/ friends after work. We used to go out a few times a month, and I loved it. DH works late, so I am the one dropping off/picking up DS, so I can never do anything after work.
But, TBH, I'd rather be with DS anyway. 
And instead of sleeping later, we have family cuddle time in bed on the weekends.

I miss getting a solid night's sleep and doing things on a whim.
I wouldn't change anything for all the Tea in China, and my life now is 100% better because of my kids/family but it was nice to be able to make a quick run to the mall or to target without really thinking about it.
A solid night's sleep and a trip to the mall pale in comparison to my kiddos.

I miss being able to sleep in and sleep all night. I also miss being able to do whatever I want whenever I want, but other than that, I don't miss much.

I miss sleep but not enough to trade my DD for it- all of what I have gained far surpasses anything else I might possibly miss.

I miss sleeping in, not worrying constantly, deciding spur of the moment to do things.
I love HER! Everything about her and being a mommy, and spending time with our families. I wouldn't trade the new life for the old life in a million years.

I miss having time to read in the middle of a weekend afternoon. I miss sleeping late.
I love seeing everything through his eyes. It's like the whole world gets a second chance.

I miss going to the gym 6 days a week and being in great shape. That's about it.
I missed my old life BIG TIME in the very beginning...I mourned it horribly. Now, this little girl makes me so stinkin' happy, I don't miss it at all!
ETA: oops forgot to say,
New Life? how happy this kid makes me!!! Her smiles, her babbles, her everything!

Old Life...
I miss having only myself to worry about & being able to do anything I wanted at a drop of a hat. I miss spending alone, lazy time with DH.
New Life...
I love that everything I do now is for my new baby & I love that DH feels the same

I miss being able to go out when I want instead of planning ahead and lining up a babysitter. 
But I love bedtime stories and morning cuddles.

I miss almost everything BUT I must love the "mommy life" because I wouldnt trade this life in for anything.
I miss me and DH's time to do anything, anytime, anywhere...
I miss working, well not the working part, just the money.
I miss how free my mind used to be, the most worrisome thing was if the dog went to the bathroom before I left the house.

I miss one on one time with DH. We always did dinner and a movie on the weekends. It was our thing. We have a date night planned for tomorrow to do this and I'm really excited! And this is kind of stupid but I miss being "put together". I don't have the time anymore or the money to wear nice put together outfits, straighten my hair etc. I'm lucky if I have on clean clothes and makeup.
But the way my DS smiles when he sees me and seeing him grow and learn makes up for that! And OMG when he laughs...I melt!

Same with me - and I do miss living closer to the city. It feels like such a trek now.

I miss being able to do what I want when I want without having to plan for it.
I miss all that "me" time.
But I love waking up to that face every morning.
And I love how much DD makes me laugh.
She really brings a whole new level of happiness to our lives. I can't imagine life without her.

I miss the "me" time. I get out of work a couple of hours before DH....so I would meet my other friends for coffee after school, go to the gym, get a mani pedi, shop...or sit on the couch in peace and watch Oprah. I miss that couple of hours just to myself.
I love spending time with DD...especially on Saturday mornings when we have nothing else to do but play
I could just watcher her all day long. Its amazing!
