Older Infant's Bedtime Change

Did anyone else's child change their bedtime at around 9 months? All of a sudden Jordana is not tired at 7:30 like she used to be. She also now wakes up between 12-2 and wants to play.

Last night I couldn't get her down until 9:30, but she slept perfectly until 8:15 this morning.

I did recently eliminate her 10:00 feeding. But I don't know how much this affected this. When she wakes up she isn't hungry. She just wants to play and doesn't want to sleep.

Any ideas?

If it's one thing I've learned, it's that once a baby falls into a nice routine, they change it all around. I think they like to keep mommy and daddy on their toes Chat Icon

Same thing happened with Alex, but a little later, probably around 1 year. Until 1 year, she went to sleep between 6-7pm, but then around the 1 year mark, she seemed to have more energy later in the day so we started putting her to sleep later, around 8pm.

Re: Older Infant's Bedtime Change

Gianna used to go to bed like clockwork everynight around 6:30pm, for the last month and we're still ongoing, all of sudden she goes to bed at 8-8:30 and still sleeps the same 12 hours.

I just kinda went with her flow and her cues. What i don't get is how a 9 month old stays up all day and only takes about two 1/2 hour napsChat Icon and is still happy as pie.
