Ollie has run of the house today!
It's the first time since we got her! I'm so nervous. Please with me that my apt is in one piece when I get home.

Don't be nervous! As long as you Ollie-Proofed the house, you should be fine! Our puppy is 4 months and we let him roam the house too... Occasionally we have a trail of paper towels, but that's about it!! We just close all the bathroom/bedroom doors and make sure we don't leave anything in his reach. Let us know how she does!!

Re: Ollie has run of the house today!
She was bad! It's my fault, I left my boots out and I should have put them away. It's back to the kitchen for Ollie tomorrow! Here's some pics of my boots that didn't make it past Ollie's one and only free run of the house day

Re: Ollie has run of the house today!
Maddie has been out of the crate but left in our playroom lately and we noticed one of the chairs was VERY hairy and figured she must get up on it to sleep (which was kinda funny since it seems a little small for her).
Well, when DH got home yesterday he noticed the cushion was on the floor but never noticed she chewed on both arms!!!
Maybe she was mad that she wasn't at her usual Tuesday Petsmart Day Camp!!

It takes a while to adjust - we did that with Casey in the beginning, we left her for an hour at a time, then 3 hours, then half a day etc....

It's a good thing I have a sense of humor and an even better thing that she's so cute I couldn't possibly be mad at her! Plus, this gives me an excuse to buy new boots although those were my favorite comfy ones. I wonder how long she'll be pooping out leather

Re: Ollie has run of the house today!
I almost fell over when I saw your shoes.. At least you can spring for a new pair of boots!!
Our dogs have free reign over the living room and kitchen and if the closet doors aren't closed our little one Mimi will eat my husband's sneakers. she likes to pull the liner on the inside of the shoe out.

Re: Ollie has run of the house today!
I am sorry I let out a huge laugh when I saw your pics! I so feel your pain. It took a long time for us to leave Brody loose, he chewed endless things. As much as I puppy-proofed, he found something to chew. Placemats, cordless phone, remotes, the sofa cushion. He finally calmed down at 2 years and I still once in awhile come home to an oven mitt missing or something. It's rough!!! And I leave him like 10 toys to play with!

Re: Ollie has run of the house today!
Yup luckily that was all. We have a brand new leather couch so I'm semi grateful that the shoe was all she chewed.
