Ombre Hair
Hey Ladies
I am thinking about doing Ombre Hair, I have dark brown hair just past my shoulders. Has anyone done it? Around how much?! Do you love it or hate it? I would love to see pictures!

I did it last summer and kept it through this summer. I'm going to dye it dark for the fall and get rid of it. I still like it, but ready for a change. It took about 4 hours to do the first time! It cost about 270 I go to Cactus in Plainview in the La Pizetta shopping center. I have naturally very dark brown hair and the ombre is pretty subtle, but lightens in the sun. The plus side is the upkeep is minimal.

a friend of mine has it. she has dark brown hair. they had to bleach out the bottom so much to get it to go somewhat blonde and its sooo dry now.
IMHO.. to me it looks like a lot of root growth and not an actual dye job. sorry! just not my taste!

ITA. My hair looks "ombre" when I'm too poor to dye my roots.  Maybe it's just me but I don't think I've ever seen ombre hair I really liked.

I like it when I see it done correctly, but I've only really seen it on celebrities, ive never seen a ‘real’ person with them on the street.
I love Jessica Beil's ombre. To me, ombre should be heavily highlighted at the bottom and then just a few highlights at the roots, not just highlighted at the bottom. A lot of ombre I see only has the bottom part, they don't do a few at the roots. I’m not saying that’s right or wrong, that’s just how I like it, because then it doesn’t look like its just totally grown out.

I adore mine...I'm on my iPad so can't post pics..but went to Cara at Salon Noveau in bellmore brought the Jessica Biel pic in, and it's exactly how my hair looks! Getting a touch up in a few weeks
