Ombre hair
I had to Google what this is and I basically learned it is really long roots in your dyed hair?!?!?

It fades gradually into a lighter color. It's not a harsh line like when you have roots. I've seen it done well and not so well! Overall I don't think I am wild about it.

Done right it looks great
I had this done to my hair it lasted a good year and I got more compliments on my hair then I ever did before

Where did you have it done because its really hard to find a place/person that knows how to do it the right way.
I had mine done Jackie at Tres Chic in Sayville.
It's very subtle. I really just wanted my ends to blend better and I love the way it came out.

I have to agree- when I first saw this, I thought it looked horrible. Now that I've seen it done better, I kinda like it. I really wanted to do my hair like this, but I just don't know of a good place to go to and I looooooooove my salon, but they just seemed hesitant when I mentioned it.

I'm not a fan - even when it's blended well, your roots are STILL at least 3 shades darker than the ends .........

Sorry i havent been back to this post,
i had it done in Howard Beach at VIP Salon, by Josie
but i don't think they are open since the storm, i have tried calling because I need my hair done and there is no answer, I have to try to get over there and drive by and see whats going on

i rock this look every 6 weeks because I too busy and lazy to get my highlights done on time.
So viola- OMBRE!
I am so glad this trend came out... it's a good excuse for my roots!
