that is so awesome! I am sure he appreciated you not doing the pic autograph thing! I saw tori amos once and she smiled so sweetly to me, I fought the urge to do it because I am sure the last thing she would of wanted was to be harrassed while having dinner with her dd.
My 9 year old son was with us because he was home sick with strep yesterday so I kept him home today too. Hugh asked him if he would like to take a picture with him and my son said "no thank you" (I wanted to hit him lol)!!! He was so scared and shy!!! But I didn't feel right jumping in there and saying "uh, Hugh, he won't but I will!" And then he was taking pictures with the doctor - so I didn't want to jump in there KWIM?!
he sounds like a nice guy!

Thank you everyone for all of your replies! I still can't believe it lol!!! I guess it's such a huge deal to me because I never met anyone THAT famous before -- not to mention I've had a huge crush on him for like the past 10 years!!
I can't tell you enough how sweet and humble he was -- just makes him that much more attractive. Also, I forgot to mention his wife. I didn't realize how much older she is than him. She was attractive but definitely not what I expected.
And to answer the burning question -- yes, he is every bit as hot (if not hotter) in person. My first thought when I saw him was how thin he was (he had a pair of skinny pants on and had long legs) but at the same time he was muscular and ripped. I don't think there was an ounce of fat on his body. And he had a shadow on his face - very hot!!!
And I forgot - my dh introduced me as "my wife" and as he was shaking my hand he asked me what me name was. LOL it's all coming back to me in bits and pieces now - I was in such shock!!!!!

Where is your DH's eye doctor?? I am setting up camp outside...Hugh's wife will most likely need a follow-up appointment and when they show up, I will pounce him!! 
It was Dr. Donnefeld in Garden City. I know some of the ladies on LIF have gone to him also.
