OMG!! It is starting already-silly vent
My looney tunes SIL found out she was pregnant TUESDAY, yesterday she went to the dr who confirmed it and said that the ct scans she had last week were no big dea and that she is due in July 2008.
Today (THURSDAY) she calls me up and tells me that I "better not lend out or give away any of Christopher's stuff b/c she needs it, especially his nice clothes". I say "Alright, when you know the sex, we'll talk" and then she goes "It doesn't matter to me, even if it is a girl, she'll wear Christopher's clothes" Huh She HAS a girl, why would she choose to wear dress a girl in my SON's clothes..
It is going to be a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG nine months

What does it matter if a onsie has cars/baseballs etc. on it. Now putting her in a suit that would be odd, but most of my DS's clothes could be worn by either sex.

I wouldn't personally wear boys clothes so I probably wouldn't dress my little girl in them either. Different strokes for different folks I guess

I think you kinda missed my point, she has a girl, if she has another, there is no reason for her to really "need" DS' clothes.
I mean, whatever she wants to dress her kid in is fine with me, I just don't get it when she already has girls clothes.

Ive been somewhere like this before..for me it go worse when said individual had the baby.
My child couldnt receive a gift without this women counting down the days until she would receive it...
"Well we wont need to be buying that now will we?"
I started getting the feeling that any gift that was bought for my child was bought so she could receive it as a hand me down..

Oh geez  I agree with you...she has a little girl...what did she do with those clothes and why not use them if this baby is a little girl.
And although this might sound mean (but it's not really my intention) don't give her ALL of Christopher's nice clothes...hang on to the ones you really love - as he gets older it might be nice to have them around - to look at, to pass on to him or to friends, or to make (or have made) something nice out of them.

As a Mommy of a little girl - we have plenty of clothes from her boy cousins that are gender neutral and look just adorable on Victoria.
No, we did not take anything that is "real boy clothing" but I love the fact that we have lots of jeans and regular t-shirts and pj's that her girl and boy cousins have worn.
