OMG... It's here... On The Border in Hicksville...
One of my favorite mexican restaurants is here and I didn't even know. On the Border in Hicksville... Has anyone been to OTB yet? Me so happy

It's been there for many years!  Stefanie, it's a sit down restaurant - and it's ok. Nothing stellar.

I agree. Its ok mexican food. I prefer Chilis over On the Border.

Its been there for years now. I worked their when it first opened. To be honest the quality has dropped over the years.. only thing i like their is there salsa and chips that are free.
Must be new management.

I agree...the quality has dropped over the years. Definitely nothing to write home about. A couple years ago my friend had a roach walk across her table. I know bugs are in restaurants & then some, but I don't need to see one walk across my table.

Okay just got back with my order... First thing not everything they have I like... I like their Enchilada (shredded beef only) which happens to be off the Hickville menu, they only have the terrible tasting Beef Enchiladas and I like their Pork Tamales. When I called I asked the cook if he would make me the shredded enchiladas that sold in California which he did "loved it" and the tamales were good to... Now the rice here is much better then the mexican rice in California. Pass on their beans, they are terrible.

I can never find anything on their menu. Takes me forever and I still don't like what I get.
I prefer OTB much better.
Actually I prefer going to Pancho's in Bethpage.

I have never been. I love South of the Border in Levittown so thats where we always go BUT my best friend her DH went to Cozymel's and said they will never go back. They got there and sat down at the bar at 9:20 pm. They had to ask for menus and the bar tender told them they close the grill at 9:30!
They just got the salsa and chips and by 9:30 the bar tender said it was last call.

DH and I LOVE OTB. you can't go wrong with the chicken burrito. it's the only thing I order when I go there. their margaritas and salsa are great too.

We just went to the one here in Charleston last night. My DH was sick all night long. Never going back. On a positive note the wait staff was extremely nice...but that's the norm in Charleston.

I walked in that place and walked right out. For some reason I got extremely turned off and walked out as they were seating me. It was a bit dark and desolate looking, just turned me off. I will never go back.
